Some of the doorways were very short and I am quite tall.

The owners Mr Dino and Mrs Grazia were very kind, we got an upgrade. Room and bed are comfortable, and there was a balcony. Breakfast is very good, Mrs Grazia prepares delicious cakes and cappuccinos. We appreciated a lot!

The number of stairs to get to room. For many, this is not a problem. We are up in age so getting our luggage to our room was a struggle and back down again. Booking.com should mandate this clarification in the hotel descriptions. Not the first place we encountered this difficulty.

Low doors and ceilings made it hard to navigate. Watch your head! Room was on the small side. No minibar. A bit of a walk from shuttle bus drop off at P. Matteotti.

Enjoyed the hostess very much. Was able to communicate even though my Italian is poor. Excellent coffee at breakfast. Good location. Pleasant stay.

Very clean and nicely decorated. Location was in walking distance to restaurants and shopping and beautiful churches. Our hostess was so friendly. Breakfast in the morning was superb.

The mattress could be a little more comfortable. The sign at the entrance of the hotel telling us to not lock the door was confusing, as the door seemed to automatically lock. I can't recall if the listing noted it, but potential guests should be warned that staying here requires walking up stairs to the entrance, and then a narrow staircase to the rooms. In our case, it was three short flights. It was no problem, but might be for those with mobility issues.

The hotel is central to everything in Assisi. The hostess put out a beautiful spread of food for breakfast, much more variety than we expected. The room was modest, but clean and certainly comfortable enough for our one-night stay. We loved having the balcony, where we were able to air out (and even dry hand washed) clothes.

Just note that our room at least didn’t have AC, so warmer months could be hot and the bed was very hard that we could feel the mattress springs, but it didn’t cause any issues and we both slept great.

Great location, wonderful and helpful hosts, spacious room on a quiet block. I would recommend this space. A breakfast is provided that is nice, which includes muffins, cakes, tarts and yogurts alike. If you’re looking for a more hardy breakfast better to visit a local shop.

Quite a basic room (I think they’re all different). No tea-making facilities, but they happily provided this when asked. No AC, but a decent fan which worked well.

There is no A/C, but it wasn't too hot even when the temperature outside was up. There is a lot of noise from people passing by at night, as the streets are narrow and the sound echoes. Having the windows closed helps, but the noise does add a community feel to the place. The room doesn't have a bar fridge, but that wasn't an issue for us, as there was a cafe right across the street. We would have scored them a 12 out of 10 apart from this.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old town. It is a small hotel with so much charm and really unique and gorgeous furnishings. The decor is truly beautiful, and we will definitely stay there again. The continental breakfast was amazing - a variety of absolutely tempting and delicious treats all prepared by the owner. There were other tourists taking photos of the access steps, as the entry steps are decorated so well. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond - even booking a table for us at the best restaurant, giving directions and booking a taxi for us when we were leaving Assisi.

Magnificent location, right in the heart and soul of Assisi. This small hotel is an absolute gem with loads of atmosphere. The building dates back over 400 years and has first-class comforts. The breakfast has a selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and great coffee.

Lovely spacious comfortable room with outdoor terrace and city views. Everything was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Proprietors were so kind and friendly, chilled our bottle of wine and provided corkscrew. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The location is perfect for seeing all the sights in Assisi and for good local restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend and we hope to be back there again some day soon.
