I can't say there was anything we didn't like. The only annoying thing was that the WiFi password is on a notice in the corridor but as we were in room 1 we didn't venture down the corridor so were unaware of it.

We actually liked the virtual check in and picking up the keys from reception. The hotel door is a bit awkward to open at first but we got there in the end.

It was quite hot for October and the heat pump was off so we were unable to adjust the temperature. Our shower leaked water so we had to shower quickly. The toilet seat was broken

The entrance/lobby looked a bit messy and made the place feel impersonal, although that is understandable in a touristy city like Venice.

Excellent location, right behind Piazza San Marco. The room was very well appointed. The bathroom spacious, the shower excellent. Communication and check-in procedures were also outstanding.

The only negative was a very loud cleaner who constantly chatted on her phone. She did take notice of our complaint though.

The fact that the reception wasn’t manned meant that you could come & go with your own key. The room facilities were perfect, modern and very comfortable.. the location was quiet and super close to St Marks Square and Grand Canal.

The hot water kept running out. And the shower stall was extremely small, for anything other than an average size petite person.

Only thing was that the shower leaked out into the bathroom which is damaging the woodwork but was no major issue for us

Toilet seat was broken. Bathroom easy to flood with the shower and very slippery after.

Various lighting options, nice shower and bathroom in general, clean, nice finishes, lovely staff. Water bottles supplied. I was glad there was a fridge and some basic coffee/tea options. I'd love to see milk as well.

A bit of noise from the street early in the morning (trash people picking up things), but that can not really be avoided

We very much enjoyed our stay at Locanda Cavanella. Anna was a great host, super polite and friendly - prior to arriving Anna was also quick to respond to our queries and provided us with very helpful information regarding the local area. The property was easy to find and within a very short walking distance of all of the main attractions. The property was tastefully decorated and the mattress and pillows super comfy.

The shower was very small. I didn't hear much noise from the alleys but was disturbed a few times by people in the locanda. Don't know if that was a sound insulation issue or just very noisy people! Check out was really early, however I scheduled tours to coincide with this so it was fine for me. The front door was a bit temperamental but once you got the hang of it it was fine.

Lovely locanda run by Anna who was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I was suprised how big the room was for Venice. The bed was comfy. There was a mini fridge and air-conditioning which worked well. The location was very handy for water transport and main attractions around St Marks Square. You can store your luggage after check out if you have more exploring to do.

We were very happy with everything!

Great location, a very short walk to the main square, and great restuarants nearby! The host was able to facilitate a very easy check-in process. The rooms were modern & clean. Overall a great stay in Venice. I would recommend this place!

Front door was initially a little tricky to open however this was not a big issue as we called up staff and the lady was helpful and kind. Might be useful if there was a sign on the door to say how to open the door. Walls were not very soundproof but i still had a good nights sleep

Easy self check in. Very clean and housekeeping made the room nice and tidy. Air con worked well. Location was superb, 5 min walk to main attractions. Staff were friendly. Loved that it had netflix, made evenings more relaxing. Very comfy beds!
