Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaThere is a room for improving breakfast :) Breakfast is in some bakery/coffee shop for which you receive a ticket and get 1 coffee and a 1 croissant... Too little for such a great apartment and host. If you manage to improve breakfast you'll get straight 10!
The host was super friendly and even gave us a bottle of Chianti wine. She also told us where to eat and gave us all the info we needed. That's the way to treat your travellers - big plus! Also the rooms were super, very comfort and clean! Great location for going to the Cinque Terre as rail station is very close.

AustraliaFinding the place with car was a bit tricky and required calling Elisa which is highly recommended on or near arrival so that she can meet and assist with the parking. Parking was on a nearby secured and private site and carting the luggage was a bit of a drag. Otherwise, the rest exceeded our expectations.
The host Elisa was fantastic and most helpful. Handy location with easy access to train for Cinque Terre. The room was newish and comfortable.

United States of AmericaIt was a little hard to find because from the outside you can’t see the name of the property, but Elisa was so nice she waited in the street to spot us when we were arriving.
Location near the train station and La Spezia city center and restaurants Our host Elisa was super nice. Two connecting rooms were perfect for our family of 4.

CanadaThe building is covered in scaffolding so very hard to find. It is on a very congested street with no parking so cant really pull up and check that you are in the right place. That said Elisa was there waiting, and watched for us as we looped around multiple times. She flagged us down and had us pull into a no parking area where she said we were fine there to unload (and we were). The room itself is inside the building and has no window to outside. There was a window that seemed to go to an inner courtyard, but it was covered with scaffolding so we could not see out. We only stayed 2 nights so it was fine, but not having any daylight would bug me if I was there any longer. The room is just a bed and a small desk with a chair, so not spacious enough to spend any time in it. Parking is not at the building - you either park at the train station, or another pay parking lot, or drive down to the water for some free parking. It was about a 10 minute brisk walk, but did not have any issues with it. The car was fine there.
Elisa is a great hostess. She met us at the door, showed us where to park, explained where and how to get to the train to Cinque Terre, and even walked us down the street to the breakfast place. (If you book the breakfast through her, it is just a pastry and coffee or tea, but it was amazing. You have a choice of pastries and they were really good!!) The location was perfect - short walk to the main part of the city, not much longer to the water, and really close to the train to Cinque Terre. The room was clean and modern, with a large bathroom. We stayed here to visit Cinque Terre, and arrived late in the afternoon the day before, then left first thing in the morning after 2 nights. I would have liked another day to explore La Spezia itself. It was a beautiful area and our visit was too short.

CanadaI could have used more table or counter top space to spread things out, especially in the bathroom. But that is a minor inconvenience. Breakfast could be better. The pastry offered at the cafe is not fresh. But, again, with other options nearby, that is not a major issue.
Location is excellent. Close to the train station. A lot of eateries nearby cater to tourists. Very convenient. Staff/operator is very friendly and tries to be helpful. Her English is good which reduces communication barrier. Room is clean and modern. Nice to have a fridge.

United Arab EmiratesThe shower head was a bit fiddly because it was slightly broken but with some fiddling it was fine to have a proper shower. Water was hot and pressure was good.
The location was great, walking distance from the train station. Elisa was very friendly and flexible/patient with me not knowing my arrival time until the day. The room was super clean and spacious enough for one person. AC worked well and there is a fridge in the room. I was able to leave my luggage there after check out. There are also luggage lockers down stairs if incase the timing didn't align. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

LithuaniaCar parking is not for free. There is underground parking (about 15 eur for day). If you want for free as it was written in booking.com, you have to find a place in the street (isn’t verry easy)..
