Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandNice apartment in the center of Argegno, close to restaurants and the lake front. We have received a parking card for one day (3 Euro) which was great. It might be difficult to find parking space in high season. The apartment is spacious, very clean and quiet, as it is away from the busy street and town center.

United KingdomBed and pillows were quite hard (I am the princess and the pea!). Only two towels and we had booked for three people to stay.
Perfect location, right in the centre. 1 minute walk to the restaurants, little supermarkets , the ferry terminal and bus stops. View of the river Telo running into Lake Como out of our window. The property was well laid out with everything you need for your stay. Would happily stay at this property again, would just bring our own pillows next time!

Denmark260€ for 2 days - Too High price compared to other accomodations at Como lake with similar equipment and view. The welcome were stressful and without hospitality - “let’s get the Money for the stay - I am busy” was my impression of the welcome by the host or who he was.
The room and the interior were all in green.

BelgiumWell-equipped and spacious apartment studio right in the town center of Argegno. Multiple good restaurants can be found in the surrounding streets. No private parking, but plenty of public parking space is available within walking distance. Argegno is an excellent starting point from which to explore Lake Como’s various points of interest!

Had an amazing view and great locations with local bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep... direct access and view of the lakes. Staff were also very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomThis little apartment was located in the centre of Argegno, with a small balcony overlooking the dried up river, lake and road. It was only a short walk to the main ferry stop, cafes and bus stop for travelling up and down the lakeside.

FranceThere is no reception, it's really difficult to find anyone to check in or check out. After a few calls and text, we got no answer. Fortunately they mentioned that the bistro in front of the appartement belongs to the same company. So we could pay and leave the keys there.
The appartement is big and well equipped. It is located next to the lake, and a view from the window it's relly nice.

United KingdomNo aircon, but that's typical for Italy and especially in this price range.
Great location (was in this picturesque town for a friend's wedding.) Friendly and relaxed owner. Large room with self-catering facilities. Very clean. I thought it was good value for money.

GermanyMattrace was a bit hard for our taste, but we still slept good on them :) Also, it was a bit difficult to find somebody belonging to the apartment to ask questions to. The owner has a restaurant underneath the apartments, and people in a wine store opposite of the house also seem to belong to it....But it is a bit unclear
Very good location, couldnt be better! big room with own kitchen, super clean, nice view from the window. We would defenitly come back there!

United KingdomWe had a loft room, so there were many stairs and less headroom but it wasn't that big of a deal
Location was good as port was nearby and wasn't uphill. Room and bathroom was spacious. A supply of complimentary breakfast e.g juice and milk was good. Overall very nice stay.

SwitzerlandThe double bed is very hard. Parking is in the city lot, a place hard to find, especially on a warm Easter weekend.
We stayed in the attic apartment, we were four people and a dog. Everything was fine, but we just kept banging our heads on the sloping ceiling :) The location is amazing, surrounded by many restaurants, the town has its own beach, a lift to go up the hill. The owner is very friendly. The town of Argegno has its own port, from where you can reach other villages or beautiful villas on Lake Como.

SwitzerlandThe staff was very rude. The property needs huge refurbishment - there are visible wires for the TV, the bedrooms do not have doors and the furniture is very tired. The rug in the bathroom was filthy. I accidentally stepped on it with my bare foot and it became sticky. I had to wash it several times to get it out of my skin. Seriously disgusting.
The location is great! And the view from our bedroom from Lake Como was great.
