Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEverything was perfect.
■ Lovely hotel, situated within 2 minutes of The Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain & shopping. I will definitely choose to stay here for all my future Rome visits. ▪︎ Rooms are European-size, but well designed. My window looks out on the cute little street running in front of the hotel. Not much traffic, so no noise. ▪︎ I also viewed a Junior Suite (my friends took my advice & booked two for their October visit). It is spacious and well designed. ▪︎ Bathroom has a bathtub! 🎉 (I'm just off a 16-day Oceania Vista cruise. It was great, but i missed having a bathtub) ▪︎ Bed is a bit firm for my taste, but not uncomfortable at all. ▪︎ TV has Netflix (movies for the English speaking guests) ▪︎ There's a safe in the closet, located conveniently half-way vertically. ▪︎ A mini refrigerator & electric tea kettle are in the room. Perfect for the late night or early morning cuppa tea (or coffee) ▪︎There's a cozy breakfast area / bar. Exceptional staff in evenings & for breakfast in the mornings. Friendly and accommodating . ▪︎ Front Desk clerk, Davide, was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything. ▪︎ Transport. Exceptional partnership with limo service, Autonoleggio di Romagnoli F. Fabrizio was amazing. Picked me up from cruise port in Civitavecchia & drove me to this charming Hotel Manfredi. So helpful. I also contracted for him to take me to train for my departure to Florence 3 days later. He even helped me get my bags onto the train. And made sure I was situated in my seat. I have recommended him to my friends, colleagues & relatives for future travel. ■ Suffice to say, I'm very pleased with this lovely boutique Hotel Manfredi. I have already recommended it to my friends, colleagues & family for all our future travels. Deserves a 10 star rating!!

United StatesIt’s a very quaint and lovely boutique hotel. The interior design is lovely and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located on an alley/street that is quintessential Rome. It’s very convenient and a short walking distance to the Spanish steps.

United StatesThe hotel was in a goof location near the Spanish steps and lots of restaurants. The room we stayed in was very small but the bed was decent in comfort. The breakfast was your normal continental breakfast. Not quite as many selections as some hotels I have stayed at but overall not bad. The coffee selection was good and made for you as you enjoyed your breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This is my second time staying here. This is a hidden gem in Rome. The hotel is on the quaintest street in Rome, right near the the Spanish steps. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. (AC worked great). It has an authentic Italian feel. Breakfast is included and is great. It’s a great value for the money and I loved the location.

United StatesThe value is not great for the rate. Room was extremely tight for 2 people which was quite uncomfortable for a 1 week stay. Check out process was very disorganized. I got a receipt from a print out calculator which was just a bunch of numbers with no clear breakdown and was almost charged an extra night for no reason. Make sure they give you a proper folio with breakdown so you can see everything.
Super charming and great breakfast .

AustraliaWe booked two rooms. We had 204 and 101….204 was typical Roman room. Small but functional. The other room (101) was incredibly clostrophobic. The bathroom had a sloping ceiling that even my 5’7 daughter found low. The property is on floors two and three. Reception is not on street level. I did not know this in advance (probs in small print but I missed it) and was initially miffed. Some may not like it but it was actually fine.
Location cannot be beaten. Fabulous. Aircon was working 100% during a heatwave… was truly excellent. Wifi was super super fast when we arrived but deteriorated as heatwave went on. Was fantastic day 1 but by day 4 at 38 degrees, could not be relied on. We liked breakfast. Others might not. It was simple and perfect for us. We had veen in Iraly 3 weeks before we got here so had seen it all. There was good coffee, good pastries , kids rated the cakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs amongst other things. Simple but pretty good.

We loved the facilities, very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and lovely bar area. The staff were helpful and friendly, looked into booking activities for us and even sent one of our families shoes to our next hotel when we accidentally left them there. Great coffee too. Had a generous sized room with good water pressure in the bathrooms, good size showers as well. Didn’t know when booking but it is located on a famous little street in a very nice part of Rome. Would stay again on return to Rome!
