The actual rooms need updates; especially the bathrooms/showers. For the price, I did not expect Hyatt luxury, but I did expect more modern features (Just some examples: the shower was just an afterthought--a box was added but not an actual shower pan or sloping for drainage. The water pressure and temp. is fine but the shower head was blocked in parts and needed to be cleaned or replaced. The tile job was really bad with molded grout. The toilet seat which is heavy ceramic hits you mid back when seated). There were other issues, but just to say, e' la somma che fa totale. And, overall my perspective is that the facilities are sub par, but the staff are really exceptional, so they are the hotel's saving grace.

First, the staff was very kind and welcoming. They were super professional and they merit 5+ stars. The hotel is in a nice location, accessible to the historic center on foot in minutes. The terrace is lovely and the breakfast and service at breakfast also 5+ stars. A large array of fresh baked goods, fresh juices, yoghurt etc.

Some of the little rooms without balconies need some decoration to cheer them up.

Staff was great. Jessica was very helpful, and do were Manuela and the gentleman at front desk. The lady serving breakfast was also an anxious to please. I liked breakfast location with the option to sit outsude on the roof. My room had a charming old mural painted on the ceiling. and a balcony looking onto the street. I enjoyed it. But not all rooms were so cheerful.

We treated ourselves to a superior room and it was lovely. Very large with a beautiful hand painted ceiling. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke very good English No restaurant but there were many cafes and restaurants within a 10 minute walk

Nothing about the hotel per se, we just didn't really enjoy the city. We were only there for one night because we flew in to their international airport. We went to Taormina the next day which is exceptional.

Location is quite good. Everything we did was within walking distance. The hotel is a bit on the older side but the cleanliness is outstanding. Breakfast is served on a rooftop terrace which is quite lovely.

The shower cubicle it was very dated and old needs to be up dated, paint missing from end of door to bathroom the shower was clean but looked dirty

The location of the hotel is in an alley. The entrance to the hotel is not marked, just like the front door. And at all: these are rooms on a separate floor of the building rather than a hotel in the usual sense. There are cockroaches in the room! There are a large number of local Sicilian pies on breakfasts, but there are too many of them, so they stand for a long time and in fact all have become honored and tasteless.

The hotel is actually located on the 4th floor of a building that you have to take an elevator up to. Everything is quite old. I liked the beautiful painted ceilings in the rooms. There is also a beautiful breakfast terrace. The breakfast is good, with ham, cheese, and delicious coffee. There is no hot food. The staff is very welcoming. The Wi-Fi is good.

The air-conditioning was very loud and less efficient, so that we could not sleep well.

Didn’t have minibar menu but still charge for the bottles of water on check out which sees as complimentary. (There was nothing but the water in minibar) It is not about the money but missing this information.

Clean and spacious room. Good location in city centre. Many restaurants and shops nearby A/C working well in heats we experienced. Very nice and helpful staff. Especially the lady in restaurant when serving the breakfast. Very attentive and kind. Good selection for breakfast. You can eat on terrace with nice view.
