Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores we received. Guests can also give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently – there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI’ve come back here multiple times and almost don’t want to give it such a great review for being afraid I won’t find it available in the future. Lucia is a great host and very responsive. The fact you don’t need a key but have a code to check in is also perfect for people like me who travel a lot and might have issues with flight delays etc. the apartment is super central and close to a lot of restaurants, cafes as well as a couple of supermarkets and in general it has everything you might need for a short stay.

United States of AmericaNoisy. Street noise---buses, cars, motorcycles, party goes---could be heard through the night.
Wonderful shower. Nicely furnished flat, very comfortable. Very good, secure wifi. I never met the hosts, but written instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Good location.

ItalyIt was extremely loud- we aren’t light sleepers but we could not sleep because of the loud noises outside. apartment is not sound proof. also we didn’t like the check in system, you need to use a phone call and a code - it’s not convenient when people travel from abroad in a group. please change your laundry detergent - it was very smelly and I got allergy. honestly speaking, didn’t enjoy our stay and would not recommend or come back there
modern design, kitchen, all modern appliances were in the apartment

Belgium1) There was no terrace in the appartment while in the description it clearly says there is. 2) It would be good if there was a storage room for luggage after checkout time. 3) There is a need for a shelf under a shower for a soap/shampoo. Not so convenient to hold it all in hands. 4) Extra toilet paper rolls would be nice, it was just enough for 2-3 days but for a day longer would not suffice
The central location was very convenient, easy access to the appartment with a numeric code.

United KingdomThere was noise quite late from the surrounding bars below, but I was visiting on a bust weekend so perhaps it is not always like this.
The quality of the apartment was excellent. It was exceptionally clean. It was a very comfortable stay and the location was excellent.

United KingdomOnly negative is that it's quite loud outside if your a light sleeper, but the sound of the Aircon fan drowned that out for me.
Very central, straight forward walk from train station. Host very good at commuting, very impressed.

United KingdomThe streets can be noisy. Okay if you have the windows closed but if you are a light sleeper might be an issue if you want to keep the windows open.
Incredible apartment and location. All appliances are very new, plenty of space for storage and has everything you need for. Super central location meaning you can be anywhere in Bologna in a short walking time. Definitely somewhere I'd stay again!

United KingdomThere's nothing really bad about this apartment. I'd prefer to have soap / shampoo dispensers rather than a pile of little plastic sachets containing shampoo and soap because there's a lot of plastic waste which is bad for the environment, but otherwise it's a nice place and I would recommend it!
The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from all the action and landmarks you want to see in Bologna. The hostess sent a really useful user-guide setting out everything we needed to know like the WiFi code, how to gain access to the apartment etc. As the apartment is quite high up you don't get bothered by the noise from the street below which is great. There's air conditioning which is good if you're there in mid summer.

CanadaIt was very noisy at night (bar/restaurant right below the apartment) and people eating & drinking until very late. Entrance to the apartment required a phone. (We had to call a number and then the door would open). My husband and I only had 1 phone with a European number so we always had to be together when entering the apartment.
Location was great for walking to everything we wanted to see.

RomaniaBecause of the boulevard nearby and the restaurant downstairs, it can be a little noisy (it bothers you only if you are a light sleeper if you close all the windows)
Perfect location, in walking distance from everything. The room was spacious and contained everything you needed for your stay. There is a market nearby and a supermarket from where you can by everything that you need. There’s also a nice restaurant downstairs. There is also a luggage storage nearby which is great if you arrive early or have a late flight (this was a stress for me and preferred to book a hotel at first, but this was a much better option).

La Dotta is located in the bustling center of Bologna, across from the very nice Caffee Gamberini (delicious pastries, drinks), and in easy walking distance from some of Bologna's main historical attractions, e.g. Fontana Nettuno, Piazza Maggiore, Basilica di San Petronio (with the famous Cassini meridian), Basilica di San Domenico (with statues made by the young Michelangelo), Basilica di Santo Stefano, etc.. A nice (very clean) , well-equipped apartment, good-sized bed- and bathrooms, air-conditioned, good wifi. Friendly and helpful host!
