Saw a few comments before we went that hotel needs some updating but I think that it all adds to that Venetian shabby chic style - hotel was better than expected overall. No room service or elevator. Noise is commensurate with being near one of Venice’s biggest tourist attractions… but not something that ever worried us

Location is amazing - room had superb view with balcony over-looking Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal - close to all amenities and restaurants galore right outside the door. Room was fairly small but comfortable and clean. Staff were all super-helpful and lovely

Low rumble of engine noise from ferries into the night. Can hear staff talking loudly at 7a.m.

Unfortunately, it became apparent that it was a noisy place to stay. Not only from the outside but also in the hotel itself. We were in a room at the side of the building and we could hear the singers! (lads shouting), the boat manoeuvres and bottles being kicked around the place. And in the hotel; constant flushing of the toilet, people talking and someone was being sick at one point!

Good location. Very clean room with comfy bed and clean fluffy towels every day. Breakfast was pretty good... not a bad selection of things to eat.

There is no lift from the lobby to the upper floors, however, being fit and injury-free, I was able to carry all of our luggage up to the first floor where our room was.

The staff were wonderful, polite and friendly. The fact that the hotel is right on the waterfront of the Grand Canal and within metres of the Rialto Bridge is obviously a massive selling point. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of choices, easily the best breakfast we’d had in any of our hotels this trip.

Lobby was dark- initial impression wasn't great because of that; glad we were wrong!

Great location to access everything, room consistent with theme, very clean. Had to leave early and staff made us a breakfast box for travel without our requesting. So nice! Nice boutique kind of place! Staff was great- was only there briefly, but they made us welcome.

The decor of the room was too old world for me. There was no elevator so it was such a long walk thru long corridors and several flights of stairs to get to our room on the 4 th floor. Very difficult for hauling heavy luggage.

The hotel was located very close to Rialto bridge and the gondola rides and vaporetto.

We didn't get the view we thought we had booked. The noise from outside was loud and unexpected. The location could use some refreshing it is very dated.

We booked a room with a view of the canal but got a room with a back street view. The location shows it's age but was clean and a good size. Breakfast had good options.

Sadly, we felt that the place Is starting to lose its charm.

We chose this hotel because we had stayed before and enjoyed it. We paid to have the balcony room to watch the Regatta. Great location!
