Room was small but big enough. You needed to drive to get into town. Walls of concrete so sound proofing not perfect.

Sea view, could walk to the beach, very pleasant staff, a shower that worked well (not a given in Italy), good value for money. Nice little restaurant on site. Free parking.

The whole location looks super nice and fancy. The view to the sea and the cliffs is amazing. The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed taking a swim in the indoor pool.

Hotel is beautifully located, with views west to watch the sunset into the sea. Tasteful public areas and the on-site standalone restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our trip. For what we paid, the room was comfortable with big bed, good bathroom, good wi-fi and very clean. However, we only had a juliet balcony and the room was very small - if you can afford it, it would be worth paying for a room with a balcony to make the most of those views! But there are lots of public areas with seating if not. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The sauna and jacuzzi were not in use and shouldn’t be in the description. I think the lido is misleading as it’s a service that is added to your bill rather than a service at your disposal.

In the restaurant there was a very morose waiter.

It was very easy to find and had a restaurant so ideal for a stopover. It also had an indoor swimming pool which was really welcome on a really hot day. Outside was really nicely landscaped, you forgot you were just off a main road. And we had a view of the sea. The room was very spacious.

We had a lovely room with sea views. There was a veranda at the side of the building where you could sit and enjoy the evening sunset. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and opportunity to have a delicious evening meal.

Fantastic view, private Beach with bus provided which was great. Staff at front desk very helpful. Loved the location views to rival the Amalfi at a much cheaper cost and mainly Italians holidaying there.

We didn't know that they charge you for the water bottles you take from the mini fridge in the room until we paid our bill at the end, and they charged about €27 for the 15 or so small bottles we took. Since there's no store nearby, you don't have an option but to buy their water unless you're ok with drinking the tap water. I don't have a problem with them charging for the water, but I think they should let you know that it's not included with the room rate and they shouldn't charge that much. Also, when we were trying to find the hotel, Google Maps by mistake took us down a steep, narrow road that became a muddy dirt road at one point. It thought the hotel entrance was down closer to the coast when in fact it's right on the main road. This could be easily fixed if the hotel corrects the location of the Google Maps pin.

Very beautiful grounds and views of the sea. It's right on the road the runs along the coast, so it's easy to get to, and it's surrounded by gorgeous mountains and pretty beaches. It's a beautiful place to vacation if you want somewhere that's not very touristy, is calm, and has charm. The only downside to the location is that it's not close to any stores and not many restaurants, and the hotel doesn't have supplies like aloe vera or sunscreen. The hotel's restaurant is fantastic but a bit pricey, and there's a great restaurant called The White Horse very close by. The hotel parking lot is a bit small but we were always able to find parking. If not, we could have just parked in front of their restaurant I'm sure. The restaurant staff were all great. The breakfast, which was included, was really nice. It's not a buffet, you have to tell the waiters want you want and they bring it out to you. They make several different types of coffee drinks to order for you. You can also ask for juice, yogurt, fruit, sweet bakery items, savory items (all cold), and cereal.

The hotel is situated south of Maratea in an isolated area that has no shops or grocery stores nearby. If you are traveling by train, you need to carefully plan your train trips. Maratea train station is an hour and a half walk from the hotel but there is a tiny train station called Marina di Maratea which is an 11 minute walk from the hotel. However, most trains bypass this station. There are only about 3 trains that stop at the station - one very early at 7:44am and then again around 1pm and 3:30pm. There are no buses that serve Maratea and surrounds. So be very careful when booking your train tickets to ensure you stop at the right station.

What a gem of a hotel. It has wonderful facilities, a gorgeous indoor rim pool and lovely patios that look out at stunning views of the Maratea coast. Our room was very spacious, had wonderful air conditioning, a nice sized bathroom, and a small fridge. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere so we had our dinners at the on-site restaurant, which is reasonably priced and serves great food. There’s not much to do in the area except relax at the pool or the beach, so we did the James Bond Kayaking tour with Enrico, which was fantastic and such fun and very good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The only 2 small criticisms I could make - and they’re more of doable suggestions to be honest - are: 1. to add a few more tables and chairs to the beautiful terrace they have. It’s a wonderful place to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world and it’s also a great place to sit and have an after dinner drink before going to bed - would be good to just have even 2 or 3 more tables and sets of chairs…then it would be really perfect! 2. Some mosquito nets on the windows in the room would really help guests enjoy that incredible view as they get ready to go out or come back..!

This hotel has a simply wonderful location with amazing views of the beautiful coast of Maratea. It’s also situated close to a range of wonderful beaches with fantastic lidos. The staff are friendly and helpful and always welcoming and they serve a wonderful Italian breakfast as you gaze at the beautiful sea and mountains in the distance. The restaurant attached is also fantastic, with delicious dishes. Ok it’s only 3 stars, but honestly, with a location like this, friendly staff and a nice breakfast, who cares! It’s lovely!

The whole stay was fabulos. The hotel was not busy because of the season, but the staff were great. Had a flat tire and they called the repair shop and I had an appointment within 30 minutes. We will return. Tarzan beach is close and is wonderful.
