This was my third stay at Masseria Il Frantoio. And it did not disappoint. The location is fantastic for exploring this part of Puglia. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The property lovely and full of character. And the food amazing. They catered fully to my vegan diet and even created a gorgeous 6-course vegan dinner for me. I cannot say enough about their hospitality. Oh, and their olive oil is a must-try. You will definitely want to take some home with you.

We couldn’t quite work out if lunch there is an option. As it happens we were going out each day anyway but worth checking because you might not want to leave 5is place!

Terrific breakfast, pretty much anything you might want. The grounds of the hotel are spacious and exquisite. With orange, lemon and olive trees, peacocks, nooks and crannies and of course an excellent pool. Good WiFi. There is even a chapel! Lots of staff who were always on hand to help. The evening meals (set meals) were excellent and wine inclusive. A really beautiful and relaxing place.

The only downside was the location because we didn’t have a car. We were only a 10 minute drive from the town. But the taxi’s charge you a lot because they can (there’s really only one taxi service so they charge a $30 for a 10 minute drive) it would be amazing if the masseria had a shuttle service to and from that was maybe 2 euros. Would be so worth it for everyone

Everything was amazing!! The foooood was outstanding! The rooms were amazing and so homey. Takes you back in time in the coolest way. Francesco was the sweetest and most helpful staff member! We loved him.

The fact they are so popular I could only book for the one night. I suggest staying for a couple of days at least so you can explore the property, the olive groves, and the surrounding area.

The MOST MAGICAL LOCATION/PROPERTY EVER. I wish I could have stayed longer I wish we had arrived sooner for check in, I want and intend to come back on my next vacation and book for a few days to soak it up. Lovely staff, they don't welcome you to the property they welcome you home. It's a beautiful property and if you go you need to go to a dinner. Amazing. Heart and soul and life giving food of the property. Generous portions, generous wine! Wander the grounds, say hi to the peacocks, laugh at leo the cat trying to get fed at breakfast and get yourself some delicious award winning extra virgin olive oil and other products like the liquor and jam as a momento of your time.

What a fabulous experience! Breakfast really simple with first class local ingredients. Staff friendly and professional. The dinner degustation was first class . Delicious innovative menu and superb local wines . We loved relaxing by the pool after our adventures to local cities . Also recommend the olive oil tasting !

The process for ordering breakfast was not good . We only received the order form once over our stay ,so it couldn`t be updated. Also the addition of toast and croissants would be an improvement

The quality of the food was good. The 6 to 8 course dinner was superb ,and gave us a great memory. On request we were supplied with an excellent lunch as an extra . Service was always excellent form all staff

Love this place and still excellent on our second visit. The whole location is just a relaxation from the moment you arrive and the evening meals in the courtyard is one of the highlights. We will be back...just dont know when yet.

The amount paid for what was a rustic but fairly basic room . 2 single beds pushed together didn’t make the most comfortable bed .

Delightful farm in beautiful surroundings of olive trees pomegranates and lemon trees. Excellent court yard to chill and relax in . Food lovingly prepared and served by exceptionally friendly staff . The focus here seemed to be on the food and wine . Their evening meal was an excellent 6 or 8 course pleasure Gorgeous pool surrounded by old olive trees was a great treat with an honesty bar.

Great effort is exerted to make one’s stay at the masseria personable, entertaining and grounded in its rich history of food and wine. It was a really intimate and special stay which would be encouraged upon others.

The Masseria felt more like we were staying with friends, in their home! All the staff, but particularly Carmen, Angela & Christina, were so friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. All the rooms had so much character, from the lounge with its film posters, & stacks of vintage vinyl, which when played conjured up a bygone era, to the renovated cellar & olive press which create the liquid gold, EV olive oil produced by the Masseria! However the highlight of our stay was the 6 x course. Degustation dinner prepared, using all the products from the farm to table, 70% of which was vegetable. We enjoyed white aubergine.parmigiana, & 1/2 metre green beans which were cooked with fresh tomatoes & grated ricotta, so it felt like you were eating pasta! Earlier in the evening, we had attended a winetasting arranged for the guests, 3 wines of which we later enjoyed paired with our meal!
