Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very loud from outside and no restaurants around

No garage parking as that has to be reserved well before your visit. Meter parking on street worked. Not used to the staff handling your credit card.
The room was comfortable and clean and spacious with a garden view balcony. The staff were very helpful.

Not that central although not far away
Helpful staff..a true hotel with an elevator, unlike most properties that are held by private hosts Where you have to climb several floors with your luggage to get there.

Carpet in the bedroom was a bit threadbare but the room was otherwise immaculate. It is located in a residential area outside of the main central area. There was quite a lot of graffiti and litter around which could be off putting but once you embrace this it becomes part of the charm. Good to see locals just getting on with everyday life.
It is located close to the hospital where my husband had been admitted so perfect for me. The room was large and clean and staff were all fantastic. Located in a quieter residential area but I felt safe to walk around on my own. About 20 mins walk into the central old town. Very good choice at breakfast. Kettle and large fridge in the room which I found useful and nice to have a balcony where I enjoyed listening to the evening sounds of the city. Great take-away pizza outlet just up from the hotel was useful for me as a solo traveller to take back to the room.

There wasn't much soundproofing, we could hear dogs barking all night and noises from other rooms.
The room was clean and the beds were nice and hard. We only spent one night here and left at 6am.

a/c didn’t work and it made it uncomfortable to sleep. you had one thin pillow and one decorative pillow that added to the discomfort. the carpet in the room looked really gross. it might’ve been clean but it was too dated to tell.
breakfast was great, it was inexpensive and had lots of options. the street looked kinda run down but appreciated it was on a quiet and close to things. walking towards the city center took 10 - 15 minutes. grateful they had a gym.

1 lady at the reception - wasn't very accommodating - she even didn't ask how was our stay and tried to charge as more than we already paid. The other reception staff were excellent. Breakfast and bar staff could smile a bit more - looked a bit angry and not welcoming. Balconies could have some outside chairs to sit - this would be good option
Great Hotel with great facilities. It looks a bit outdated in style and colors, could do a bit of refurbishment in common areas. Room was great and clean. I liked the idea that you can choose different style of pillows - really nice option to offer. Cleanliness is a great aspect of this place. I would definitely recommend this place for short trips. Great balconies for a chill out morning or evening or during the day.

There is nothing. Everything is OK and I am glad.
Hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from centrum but there is a bus nr 504 also. Personel very helpfull and nice. Room large with comfortable bed and bathroom. Breakfast very good, scrambeld eggs, salami, italian cheese and fantastic tarta and almond cake. Personel can prepare you espresso. TV with many channels. Street is quiet. Near is local with very tasty pizza.

Nothing. We were happy with everything. No complaints.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and check-in and out went smoothly. They arranged for transport to the airport the next day which again went smoothly and was on time. Breakfast was good and punctually served for our early departure.

had a bit of cigarette smell perhaps left over from long ago although everything was clean. coffee could have been better but maybe I should have ordered the espresso instead of just the regular breakfast coffee.

The hotel is away from the central shopping streets and tourist attractions, and there was a half-mile walk to get to them. On the other hand, there were several good small restaurants and patisseries close to the hotel. Overall we had no complaints and many kudos.
A spacious, clean, comfortable room. Large bathroom, plenty of towels and hot water. Very helpful staff at the reception desk. Big storage area for holding our luggage after checking out but before departing to the airport. While no frills, this hotel certainly lived up to Best Western's reputation for quality.
