This Hotel is awesome. Very quiet and comfy. It is located at the 3rd floor, you need to take the elevator or stairs. I didnt have the breakfast so not sure about that. But the property is QUIET and clean. The Bathroom is fully renovated. Florence is small, you can walk everywhere from here. Doumo is very close. I highly recommend this Hotel and I would stay here again if I were to visit Florence again. Yes, you need to ring the bell and someone will come out to open the door for you, didn't bother me, more security I am guessing. A very nice Hotel.

Nothing that I could fault - perfect.

Owner and family were very lovely and welcoming. Rooms were quiet, spacious and clean. Location close to station and a short walk to main attractions. Glad to have booked this over a hotel - great value for money.

Our host Rossaorio and his wife were wonderful and so accommodating. The rooms were fantastic and so quiet after a day spent exploring in Florence. You could feel the pride they took in the upkeep of their beautiful family run hotel. Clean with all the amenities you could hope for while set in a beautiful medieval building.The bright breakfast room was a definite bonus and a lovely way to start our day with breakfast and cappuccinos on the morning.

The only thing missing in the room is a little fridge.

What we liked most were the owners, who made us feel really welcome. While being in walking distance of every landmark in Florence, the room we stayed in at hotel Merlini was also quiet and had a great view. The size of the room is generous (not to say that for a hotel this size it is a huge room).

Having to always ring the bell to enter. No exterior signs, so you have to look inside the building among other hotels/hostels.

Good location, close to the train station but also to all main attractions and restaurants. Very clean room, and nice bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. There is an elevator. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Location was good for Florence walking around, Great view of the dome from our room, Breakfast was very good and the owner makes coffee to order in the morning.

I read a lot about the great breakfast but it wasn’t being served during my stay. Would have loved to have saved some money by eating at the hotel but it didn’t affect my experience overall.

I loved how close to everything it was, but not right in the action. It was quiet at night. The bedroom had a view of the Duomo! I didn’t want to check out. The room had this timeless, classic style.

Liked everything.

Our room was lovely and bright with 2 large windows and great views over the city. Private bathroom was perfect. Very quiet at night for sleeping , enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of everything. No problem getting a pot of tea in the evenings when we requested it. . .Hotel hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great location near train station, restaurants and all the beautiful sights of Florence. . Would definitely recommend Hotel Merlini for a stay in Florence.

Best coffee in town :) And that's saying something. We felt like coming home every day. Getting to the Duomo on my way to my Erasmus course took me 6 minutes in the morning. We loved every minute of our stay! Can't wait to stay here again! :)

It was a little hard to find since you need to go to the third floor at the address. On that street the addresses vary wildly.

The room at the front of the building was rather noisier because of roadworks happening in the road but after the first night this didn't disturb us very much at all.

A very warm welcome from the owner of this family run hotel. He was attentive to all our needs and always greeted us, as did the wife and son, with a smile. Very large, comfortable room with everything we needed. Delicious breakfast and very good location with just A5 minute walk to the Duomo, the train station and good restaurants nearby. We would absolutely recommend staying at The Merlini!
