Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandI could hear things around me but at night in general the whole town went quiet so it was no problem. You just hear when people come to the hotel that's all. The elevator was small, but at least my luggage fit inside and I was able to get to the third floor. What I did not know was that when I wanted to go outside there was a button on the wall like a light switch you had to press to open the gate and go out. I had a few mosquitos who had managed to get inside, it can't always be helped but you could prepare some mosquito repellent just in case.
There was a TV where you could see local shows, channels and commercials. I also had my own personal bathroom and shower in there and it was really clean. I thought there wouldn't be a reception but there was someone helping you out on their working hours. The modern idea of a phone app was really nice, I needed to ask for the instructions for my email a few times but once they did arrive everything was smooth. The free wifi was a nice touch. I got free drinkable water and there was an air conditioner that could heat up the room and you'd get to switch it on and choose the heat for your liking yourself! There was a USB port for your charger and the usual Italian charger port. When you go outside a good landmark is the Catholic church you can find. There are some breakfast places right next to the building.

AustraliaThere were doing construction on the street. But it doesn’t really matter cuz during the day we were most outside.

SpainThe system to auto check in. Basically you need to download an app (why downloading an app and registering??) and also many doors to open (external, middle one, hotel hotel, room one (total 4!!) with the digital key and not working super well.
The room was very tidy and the bed was super comfy. Bathroom renovated too. Quite silent rooms. For the price it was perfect, but I did pay much lower than the average price they normally charge. For their normal price, its not worth it.

United States of AmericaMy only complaint was the noise from the outside. Our room was facing the Main Street and in the morning, you can hear the construction being done. At night, you can hear everyone walking by and talking loud. Everything else was perfect, but the noise was a bit annoying.
Location was perfect, rooms were a decent size and very clean! I loved the high ceilings and how easy it was to access the building with the digital key. I would definitely recommend this hotel for future stays.

GeorgiaThere is a very small elevator, I like that there is an electronic key, although I was afraid that if the phone was disconnected, I would not be able to open the doors
I liked everything, especially the location, there is a market, a restaurant nearby. You can walk to the main sights

RomaniaFor us, that was not a problem, but maybe for someone with more luggage, it will be. The elevator is very small; it will fit just one person with luggage. We went up the stairs, three floors.
The staff was so kind. The check-in/out process is very easy and can be done by yourself. It was clean, quiet, and positioned in a good location, close to everything. The bed was comfortable and the room is big. I recommend this hotel!

CanadaThe room was very clean and well put together. It felt very safe as there are 3 doors that require your access key before getting to your actual room. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during the day. There is a common area set up with games, seating, vending machines etc. to utilize in down time. The location is a short walk to the main attractions and the train station.

PortugalThe staff were very nice and helpful. I loved that to enter the building and room you had code lock doors, since I always get nervous I'll lose the room keys. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to the Galleria dell'Accademia and to the Duomo. Near the front desk, there's a common space with books, games and food/drinks machine, which is always good. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Florence!

ItalyNothing. The only slight incident was not realising that the elevator was behind a big white door and I wasn't sure how to get out of the hotel.Someone came to my rescue, opened that door and there was the elevator, nust where it belonged. It might help to have a sign on the door. But that's it
If you want to go to Florence, but don't have deep pockets you can't do better than Hotel Miceli. Although it may not look like it (there was construction going on on the the street) in truth, you're right smack in the heart of the historic center. Walk out of the front door, turn left walk for about ten minutes, and there you are, all of the beauty, the history, and the grandeur you came to Florence for. In the morning, go out of the front door turn right take 10 steps and walk into the best pasticceria in Florence. The staff is welcoming and the array of delicious choices is stunning, whether you want to start your day with a tramezzino and cappuccino, or one of the multitude of pastries there is no way you can go wrong in this wonderland. In addition to wonderful things to eat, the display of cakes in particular is gorgeous, each one prettier than the one before it. Now go out the front door, and turn left again, look into the window and you'll see generous pieces of pizza, as beautiful as they are delicious. Maybe you've spent the day exploring the Baptistry, the Duomo, and a visit to the Accademia to see the David or to the Uffizi. You've had lunch at s trattoria, but could do with a little something, so you duck into that place with the pizza only to discover that's not all that's on offer. There are panini, there's lasagna, there's such an array of food you aren't sure anymore what you want, but Errami, the friendly young man behind the counter is patient; he understands that you may be overwhelmed by all of the choices. You finally decided on the pizza and you've made the right choice. For today. Chances are you're there for more than one day, so you can return tomorrow You can even go for dinner, but it closes early, so check on the time when you pass by in the morning on your way to the Piazza Signoria.

United States of AmericaLots of hurdles to check in. I’ve stayed at hotels that do self check in, but this one required an app to enter and it wouldn’t work for me so I ended up with a keyless card once I arrived.
The location, was quiet even though on a busy road and of course close to everything.

United KingdomOnline check in was a pain and the key lock is on an app on your phone. Slightly tricky to set up and we were traveling with an older guy who couldn't get the hang of it! Staff were very helpful with this tho.
Newly refurbished hotel in a great location. Simple IKEA furniture that was new and clean and did the job.

The location! Close to the main strategic sightseeing. Cleanness - "Monica clean!"). The beds were comfy, bedding and towels - " good hotel" level , which is crispy white clean sheets and white soft towels.

SpainMore than the hotel, the city is going under massive reconstruction of tram lines and one of the streets that has more works is just the street of the hotel. The works start early in the morning and are a bit noisy. But again, nothing related to the hotel itself.
It’s location is simply great. Very close to the historical center and also to the bus stations, etc. Not too far from the train station either. The room, even though not too big, was extremely comfortable and clean. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Miceli.

United Arab EmiratesThe rooms r very small which was ok but the shower cubicle was the smallest I have ever seen .. u have to get in by turning your body.
The location was very good .. Very clean place and well maintained.. The locking system is good but u need to be careful to have your phone charged until u back at night after the entire day being out .. just follow the steps host sends you and it will be perfect . Host always communicated through what’s app and always responded to any queries . We had an issue with the Air con but he solved it and it was ok .

CanadaHonestly - this is barely a complaint, but I needed more plugs, especially beside the bed! It was either the lamp or my phone charger and I needed both!
The room was great - spacious, well-decorated and some really nice touches, such as a seating area, coffee/tea. The shower was great - lots of hot water! We did not use the lounge area, but it was lovely and we might have if others were there to chat to. I really liked the bluetooth key system - it worked flawlessly for us.
