I expected a real SPA hotel, but for using a sauna you have to book ahead and pay extra. The hairdryer in the bathroom was terrible, almost useless. TV was smart, but without Internet, so I had to make a hotspot.

Everything was a bit outdated from the 90s. Hotel definitely needs a major renovation in the near future, but some smaller maintenance would help immediately. Why do you keep the shoe cleaning machine if it is out of order with broken wire?

Bed was comfy. Breakfast was very good. Our rooms had nice balconies. Bathroom was spacious. Parking is 50 meters from the entrance. Location is very good.

Slow elevator, and the spa is not year-round. Had to find that service elsewhere. There was a water leak in the ceiling in the room. I wished they had a "do not disturb" sign to use on the door.

Penthouse suite was spacious and comfortable. The HVAC was fast at reaching desired temperature. The concierge and staff were fantastic. Located in a walkable city with train access and lots of restaurant options.

Pool closed at 7 which was a little early for August we felt. The rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable.

Lovely pool area and great views from the balcony. Good location just a short walk from the town centre and very close to tram to Montecatini alto. Good breakfast and value for money. Big and airy modern bathroom. Good location for exploring Tuscany.

The gym was an absolute joke, it was in a depressing dark room on the bottom floor and on the first day we heard a member of staff being very aggressive to a customer and accusing him of kicking down a kick bag which had seen better days and should have been attached to the wall properly in the first place. My son went down the next day and used the bag which had been propped up against a wall and he was screamed at, it was eventually removed, all very odd and very unprofessional. The gym equipment was also inadequate and I would not have used the spa as it was on the bottom floor with the gym and looked awfully depressing. We had stayed for 6 nights and had spent a lot money and on the day we checked out and payed the bill, we just left, with “no thank you for coming or we look forward to seeing you again”, from the man on reception. Which was a shame as the rest of the reception staff had been helpful.

The breakfast was great. Our room, after we upgraded to a suite was amazing, the view and balcony was just incredible. The first room we had booked was a superior double and was a little small for us, nothing wrong with it apart from that. Location good about a 10 min walk to the main town of Montecatini Terme.

The hotel is probably in need of a slight upgrade at reception as it felt a bit old and tired. As with most lifts in older Italian hotels, they were very small and it was a push to get 2 cases as well as 2 people inside. It would have been good to have some padding on the sunbeds as just a towel on the hard plastic was a bit uncomfortable. Also a ramp for cases would have been an easier option at the front door rather than trying to lift 20kg up 5 steps in the sweltering heat.

We were allocated a room on the third floor overlooking the pool, however as you looked to the left from the good sized balcony, you had the most spectacular, unspoilt view of Montecatini Alto - truly breath-taking! The room was very large and had a great shower with lovely L'Occtaine toiletries and good powerful hairdryer. There was plenty of storage in the room as well as a safe and mini fridge. The bed was a little too firm for me however the air con was great and was much needed in 39 degree heat. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh linen and you could get fresh towels every day but we were happy to go with hotel advice and reuse a few times. The pool area was so peaceful and tranquil, again with magnificent views all around and the area was cleaned every morning. There were also lovely shaded seating areas dotted round the front of the hotel were you could relax with a cold beer. The breakfast area was either inside or outside and the food was very fresh and plentiful - cheese, meats, tomatoes, pastries, jam/honey, cereals, bacon, eggs, beans....huge choice and a great start to the day sitting outside with a very good cup of Italian coffee. The staff (in particular the breakfast staff and the young lady at the bar) were very helpful and friendly.

The walls and doors are very thin so you can hear what is going on in the hallway and adjacent rooms.

The breakfast had an assortment of mainly sweet pastries, a few breads and cereals, eggs and beans, cheese and ham, so it was a little lackluster on gluten-free and vegan options. The hotel is in a very quiet area outside the Montecatini Terme city centre so expect a 15 minute walk to get to restaurants, shops and train station, however it is close to the funicolare taking you to Montecatini Alto. Very friendly staff and hotel is clean.

had to pay for towel for pool which thought was a bit much, originally told it was a deposit but was €5 per towel. Breakfast could have had fruit/ usually only 1 bowl and when gone not replaced.

Rooms are not well insulated, you can hear everyone from the hallway, and water flushing can be heard, bad if you are a light sleeper.
