How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewSimple clean rooms with garden in back of building. All of the staff were wonderful! Very friendly and provided good suggestions on what to do in Milan. I would never have found the Navigli neighborhood without them. They made me an espresso each morning. Rooms cleaned every day. Air conditioning worked very well!
The room's furnishings are spare and simple, which I like, but may not be for everyone.

Verified reviewHad an air conditioner, so it was good to stay while it was hot outside. Clean room, had a balcony. Had a chance to pay for late check out which was great, because our flight had been delayed. Quite near the metro, easy transfer to city center, a lot of shops around there (lidl is not far). Has an elevator as well.
Weird smell in the bathroom, there was some mold on the ceiling.

Verified reviewEasy to get to and from the train station. We only needed a bed for the night so we were happy. The staff were also friendly and let us keep the bags there after we had checked out and use the bathroom when we came back.
The room had a little bit of a smell, but other than that everything was clean and the balcony was also very cosy.

The curtains did not close all the way, so it was bright and noisy during the night because of the street lights and cars. But I had my sleep mask and earplugs, so this did not bother me.

Verified reviewPleasantly close to the metro station which is very helpful because the metro takes you everywhere fast. The staff was helpful and nice. I suppose the owners, like the staff, are Asians, since that is the Asian neighborhood.

Verified reviewThe staff - Girl (I think Maria was her name) at the reception were wonderful. Also, AC in the room was great. You had to carry all your luggages over the stairs, my mother in law arrived first at the hotel and she had to carry her luggages upstairs to the reception without any help.
No shelf to put shampoo qnd other stuff in bathroom, no mini fridge and no safe to store valuables in rooms. Location was good but everything pretty much was closed by 10:30pm if you needed to eat or have any snack nearby. Also, they let checkin early which was really appreciated.

Verified reviewIt was clean, I love the shower it was soooo heavy. Aircon was perfect and i love it after staying under the heat of the sun. The bed was big and we enjoyed it. All of the staff were nice especially the staff who received us when we arrived, she gave us recommemdation on where to go and she was really nice and friendly. The staff who was in the reception when we checked out recommemded as well were to go for bfast. Overall, I hope we stayed for more nights.
