Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI thought it was very expensive for the size of the room and a view overlooking apartments but it seems that Rome has more than doubled in price in the last eight years. The bathroom had a strange plastic spray feature but I was too scared to use it - it seems a bit over the top for such a small room.
The hotel room was basic and quite small but very clean and inviting. I absolutely loved the historic parts of the hotel like the old lift renovated with modern glass, I loved the mosaic floors and the walls of the room were in an old style material, not wallpaper. I found that lovely. The staff were extremely brilliant, knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was very nice. A nice garden room at the top for breakfast - it's lovely to sit outside. The bathroom had a strange plastic spray feature but I was too scared to use it - it seems a bit over the top for such a small room.

Comfortable room great breakfast and all staff so helpful and friendly. Michael on reception could help with anything we asked. Justyna in the bar so lovely and friendly all staff were excellent. 10/15 minutes walk to train at termini so very handy spot. Some good restaurants and pizzerias nearby too. Lovely wee rooftop area for breakfast and drinks in the evening.

AustraliaWould be nice to have a top sheet. Spa bath was small so never used it. Quite pricey. Have to leave the key at reception when you go out which was a bit of a hassle when busy.

LuxembourgThe entrance it's a bit shabby, but the impression changes once you are in the room. Actually I noticed the art-nouveau touches in the lobby and the bar, but the rest of the building was a former appartment residence split into several rooms per each floor.
The room was of a good area, with a huge bathroom spotless clean. The bed is very confortable. The area is quiet in the night and with the good shutters I could have perfectly dark inside. The reception staff was very nice with us, providing all info we needed and being very open to our requests. The breakfast is average, but they provide you an excellent espresso when asked.

United States of AmericaThe street noise is quite loud and the rooms not very sound proof. The staff were a mixture of very nice to unhelpful and uncaring.
The property is located about 10 minutes from Termini, 8 to the Metro and 3 minutes to the bus stop, so it made getting around Rome easy. The breakfast was quite good and elevator access to all floors made it better.

HungaryThe hotel's wifi policy, which required email registration, was somewhat unconventional. We elected not to register due to privacy concerns and the limited need for internet access during our stay. The room's shutters could not be permanently opened, resulting in a slightly dim interior. However, as we primarily occupied the room during evening hours, this minor inconvenience did not significantly impact our overall experience.
The hotel's central location, nestled between two metro lines, facilitates effortless transportation. Whether your destination lies in either direction, you can seamlessly access either line within a convenient 5-minute walk. The hotel's breakfast buffet is a culinary delight, offering a wide array of fresh produce and delectable options to suit every palate. Indulge in both sweet and savory breakfast creations, complemented by the attentive staff and a generous selection of espresso beverages. Throughout our two-day stay, we were greeted with a delightful variation in breakfast offerings. While the core breakfast items remained consistent, the hotel's culinary team meticulously arranged a fresh and diverse spread each morning, with rotating options like freshly baked cookies and an assortment of fruits.
