Unlike some reviews I'd read said, there was no breakfast on the terrace with a view, which was a slight disappointment. Luckily, the beautiful views of Varenna and Lake Como were not too far away :)

Very stark to look at. Wouldn't take much to make it look more inviting.

Location was so close to everything and just a short walk to the lake. Easy check in and out. Breakfast was awesome. Bathroom large and very adequate. The bed was comfortable.Very clean. Ease of access after hours.

Would have loved an electric kettle ndca couple of mugs in the room so we could make our own cups of tea.

The staff were delightful. Matthieu was particularly helpful when we discovered our tain was cancelled. Beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet. Breakfast was superb. Great shower. Location was central and close to train station. Would happily have stayed longer. Definitely recommend this place.

Room very basic We stayed one night and weather was terrible (none stop rain). There is no lounge/reception to sit in only your bedroom. or go to a bar/restaurant.

The room was facing the main street and it was very noisy when the trucks, buses, cars and bikes pass by. Worst are the bikes when they consistently accelerate past the room with a loud ear piecing engine screeching noise.

Location is good. It's a 5 min walk down the slope to the ferry terminal and a 15 min walk from the train station. Many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel breakfast is good value for money. Staffs are friendly. We requested for an early check in and it was granted.

The noise from the street is a problem. Another guest suggested I try earplugs after my sleep was ruined the first night by the noise from trucks, motorcycles, and even people talking as they walked past. That helped a lot. There is also too much light coming through the window from the street lights right outside. It's as bright as sunrise all night long. There are only sheer panels over the window. Adding a light blocking curtain would fix that problem easily.

Mateo at the desk was so gracious and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable. The location was close to everything the town had to offer and a short walk to the train station. There was a small quiet courtyard with tables, chairs, and umbrellas where we took our coffee after breakfast. And the breakfast was great! Lots of options!

The air conditioner fan worked but the air did not seem like it was any colder than room temperature. The bathroom had no ventilation other than opening the windows, and I did not like to open it more than a crack most of the time because of mosquitos. A window screen would be useful. I am a short petite person and even I found the shower to be too small.

We chose this hotel because it's a short walk from the train station, which is how we traveled. Our room was quite small but the double bed was large. The room our kids stayed in had 2 single beds and their room was larger than ours. The staff members were very helpful and professional. The breakfast was good for being included, although eggs were served only some of the time. We appreciated the gluten free choices.

The property has very thick walls so the Wi-fi was patchy. The old Italian sockets should be replaced with EU standard 2 pin sockets as it’s difficult/ dangerous to use them. The breakfast was very carb heavy. Some salad would be great.

The location close to the station, ferry and town centre was perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Having to use a key to unlock the door from the inside isn’t safe if there is a fire or an emergency.
