How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Verified reviewLocation was spot on for the Mille Miglia arrival. 8 minutes to Via Veneto. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Nespresso machine at the ready, breakfast treats, and water in the fridge.
Not much to dislike, for me. The bed was a little too firm for me, but that's a personal thing.

Verified reviewClean, good wifi. Giuliana gave great recommendations for restaurants, sights, gelato, & laundry. However, respectfully, our room was more like a room & bath in a hostel. Not a great value. Did not live up to the 3 Genius Booking.com boxes rating (I realize ratings are subjective.)
Hello,thank you for your review.i think that you have a wrong ideea about where you booked;( We are an B&B , bed and breakfast, not a hotel , so, the stars that you saw, i don't know where...are not the stars for a hotel....we didn't have the stars, but...i treat you like in a hotel.we change the laundry each day, neither a hotel of 3 stars doesn't change you each day...you have the breakfast and coffè free, without to pay, for it...we cleaning your room each day, even after the cleaning time...you go out at 13/14:00 in the afternoon, and the cleaning is until 11/12. anywhy, definitly you have had a bad ideea about where you booked. you just have a triple room with private bathroom, only for you. if you don't know the hostel have the rooms with 5,6,7, beds, and the bathroom outside, nnot inside and you sleep in the room with other persons so, about what we speaking here????? i just invite you to book in a Hoatsel , next time, just to see the difference or to book in a hotel, same reasone, fo see the difference... have a good day and next time read better where you booked :) B&B Morelli 1 Rome

Verified reviewWe enjoyed the family room for four people. It was very clean, had good mattresses and balcony. Centrally located. Giulia was very helpful and made great recommendations for restaurants and activities.
There are several rooms inside the unit, so it doesn’t feel as private as other options.

Verified reviewThe room was very cosy and spacious for my family of three. We really enjoyed the big windows to let in the fresh air, and the walk in shower which was very easy to get into for my older parents.
The fan in the room only worked when the lights were on which was not great when we went to bed because the room was very hot. However, it wasn't too bad.

Verified reviewPerfect location (15 minutos away from Fontana di Trevi walking), amazing hospitality and reception, the host was incredible gave us tips to visit the city and was always amazing with us (even gave us the possibility to Check in a little sooner and kept our bags, on the cheek out day so we could visit a bit more comfortable on our lasts day)! Comfortable and clean room! Would definitely recommend it to a friend! And would repeat this location on another travel to rome!

Verified reviewThe host was amazing and friendly, she was very informative showed us how to get around and places to visit and gave recommendations for restaurants that were great ! We checked in late and we were given clear instructions of how to find them and get in. It’s in a good location and is in walking distance of everything we wanted to see and not far from termini station which was great as we got the train to and from the airport. Good value for money especially being in the centre of Rome, would return and recommend to friends/family that want to visit.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, only thing I would say is it could do with a little freshening up with some paint in the room and bathroom, in the bathroom there was some damp on the ceiling
