Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesElevator was being repaired so had to walk up four floors multiple times per day. However, owners warned me about this before I came. They were very honest. But it was tiring.
Really clean, super nice owners, good value

United StatesCons: My room is on the 3rd floor and I walked up 75 steps, no elevator so if you have a disability or wheel chair then this place is not for you, walking down is no problem for me but some night after a long day walking, I was tired to climb up! City tax: I wasn't sure that City Tax was included, some of my booking including city tax! So the owner asked me to pay and I have no way to check my booking so I told her I will pay when I come back home, I checked out on Apr 21 and on Apr 26 she was at the Pope Francis funeral, she texted me and saying that she will report to the police? "What" Did I asked her I'll pay when I come back? Come on, big event is going on at the Vatican, there wasn't even enough polices for the events, would they have time to work for $48?? Give me a break! I was so upset but I focused at the funeral Mass till the end. My suggest for the owner, not to be rude with customers, that was sad. I asked my husband to go on computer and paid her on Apr 27th, not because I worry about "police report" but $48 buck is not a big deal to me, I wished she handle it in a better manner ! After all, thank you!
Pro: The location is perfect, not too far from Vatican, walking 15 minutes to St Peter. Restaurants are near by, many coffee shop and very convenience if you don't mind to walk! Room is very nice and clean, I'd love to come back again!

United StatesIt took four keys and a very small elevator to get to the room.
Location. Very close to the Vatican and the Metro. The room was small but had everything we needed and was very clean. We felt safe and the A/C worked great. Bathroom had everything we needed for our three night stay. There were several cafes, bars and restaurants close by. It was quiet. We never heard street noise or other guests.

United StatesFor reasons completely independent from the property and its management, alas the metro line was undergoing some renovation and not accessible. Just a temporary situation (operations should resume at the end of August 2024), in such a stunning city as Rome. The central location made it easy to walk around without relying on public transportation. In short, we had no actual issues to report!
Friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Clean rooms, amazing location. Classy design, merging careful renovations with the original style, providing comfort and charm without being outdated. Easy 15 min walk from the Rome St Peter’s train station, less than 5 min away from St Peter and the entrance to the museum. Highly recommended!

United KingdomIt was more like a serviced air bnb which means no one is really around to speak with but owner/manager is very responsive and helped us get in safely and hitch free.
Very comfortable and I liked the industrial feel. Extremely clean and feels like a new build. Safe location as it is in an apartment complex that is well managed and green. Walking distance to the Vatican. Although not in the center, I did not feel far from things at all. The area was still vibrant and not crowded with good restaurants and cafe around. The manager provided a lot of useful recommendations for places to eat and how to get around.

United KingdomThe lift at the property is a little daunting. The taxi that the property arranged for us was €25 more than what it should have been. The set rate is €40 to ciampino airport and €55 to the other airport so felt slightly conned. Not their fault but I suggest getting your own taxis.
It was immaculate, the location was perfect for the Vatican. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.

Czech RepublicThe room was a bit dark otherwise everything was great!
The owners really put their heart in their accomodation. Perfect communication all the way, they also provided extensive lists of restaurants where to eat not only near the location but also the centre of Rome. Clean and comfortable, also a kind of “common room” is available to have coffee in or just sit and relax. Also very safe, everything is locked by codes. Definitely recommend if you don’t want to do a classical hotel but still get a very good service. The location in Prati is also very convenient, metro station very close and Vatican within 10 min walk.

United KingdomSuch a lovely place for us to base ourselves as we explored Rome. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The staff were so friendly. The owner was so helpful and gave us lots of local tips and ideas of what to visit. It's just a short 15 minute walk from the Vatican. The local area had plenty of cafes and restaurants. Google maps was a godsend to help us find our way round.

United StatesThe room is very well-equipped with amenities to make it a comfortable stay, like a reasonably priced minibar, tea kettle, small table and chairs for eating or working, good AC, comfy bed, and lamps and lighting to provide a calm or bright mood. The shower and bathroom were very nice and it smelled great from the added fragrance items. I also appreciated the complimentary espresso on the 4th floor. I had not stayed in Prati before and it was a very lively neighborhood, though the room was quiet. It was nice to walk around and explore the area. Stefania and staff were communicative and helpful, providing many suggestions and guidance.
