Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My room was a little bit “tatty” around the edges. Shower leaked unless you were very careful.
Fantastic location. Very pleasantly surprised how quiet it was considering the location. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good quality & well stocked. Very comfortable bed & I liked the option to opt out of daily room service.

Just a small thing, but it would have been useful to have instructions for the coffee maker as it was quite different from mine.
Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great with lots of choices of hot and cold food and great coffee. Lovely room and really good bathroom. Staff left a note and chocolates?biscuits for my husbands birthday which was a nice touch.

Room too warm. Did ask for temperature to be lowered but could only be set at 18 degrees by reception staff. It is not healthy to sleep in such a warm room. Also light switches very confusing at times. Wardrobe opposite bathroom has door that opens outward and not good when partner trying to access the bathroom.
Location excellant and superb bathroom. Very comfortable bed and good bedding. Lovely decor and bar/reception area. Well trained and amenable staff.

The hotel is in a very good central location, close to the sights and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were great. Suzanne on reception was really welcoming and friendly. They made a real effort to ensure that our stay was pleasant. A very nice surprise of a room upgrade certainly helped! The attitude seemed to be, if we can make your stay better, why not. How refreshing!

The bar in the evening is unmanned and so getting service was a bit of an exercise and didn't feel welcoming...a shame as we enjoyed sitting in the bar but didn't feel welcomed to have a drink there

The extra bed was a bit cranky. Luckily once our son falls asleep it doesn't move till morning.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Spacious room, nice decor. Loved to find a bottle of water and coffee capsules for the morning. Location is perfect to walk around town and lots of restaurants and interest point nearby. We also had a nice dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. Arrosto and agnolotti were really good. Torta Gianduia also delicious. A plus: we found parking on site.

All was excellent during my stay. I only stayed for one night but it was a very cozy room with excellent amnesties and a very comfortable bed. I was coming after a long train ride from Civitanova and therefore the comfortability of the room made a huge impact.

Very minor but the mattress was super soft. Coffee wasn’t put in the room and then the guy came and only gave us 2 capsules.
Location is fantastic , next to a big square for restos/bars and next to the piazza duomo and central for shopping/visiting . The room was big , bath was nice with good shower water pressure . We’ve stayed here 3 times now and like the hotel / location .
