Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All good!!
Large comfortable well appointed room with a view to the plaza below from the balcony. Great restaurants nearby. The elevator was a bonus!!!

Nothing of any significance
It's a B&B, which I didn't realize till a few days before my arrival. I say that because I'm not really a big fan of them. I've found that the host can sometimes be a bit too 'intrusive'. That was NOT the case with Marco. He very affable and always helpful and ready to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The location is within easy walking distance of most major attractions, shopping, and other tourist activities. The room was small, but comfortable. And the Wi-Fi signal in the room was excellent. Overall, it's a good value for the money if you're visiting Palermo.

No major comlaints. Seen better showers but i think pretty basic in Sicily. Smaller rooms bit small for two persons but keeping in mind it’s B&B not 5 star hotel. So i’d say mostly good and worth the price.
Nice B&B with pretty good location. Friendly and helpful people. Good breakfast. Rooms mostly on the quieter side of streets.

Cozy BnB in Palermo. The position is perfect to visit the city on foot. We were particularly happy about the assistance we received by our host. Indeed, he was very kind and gave us a lot of information about the city. Finally, price was extremely competitive considering the period and the service.

Having stayed previously in the old historic centre, at first I thought the location was not in as charming a neighbourhood. However, it was actually very convenient for walking to different parts of the city that were of interest.
Marco was a real pleasure to meet and so helpful with suggestions and information. The space was comfortable and the location was great for getting a bus to the airport close by. Nice breakfast. The best feature was really Marco the host....who was great.

The location is very closed to many attractions including the theatre Massimo only a 5 min walking distance. Above all, the host Marco is most kind, helpful, and happy person.

This may only be our room which is next to the reception, one side of the mattress is sinking badly; somehow we managed to sleep sideways to place ours legs/feet on the sinking area. It would be a perfect stay if the mattress was in a better condition.
The location is excellent. The property is located in a decent pedestrian area without traffic noise. The owner is attentive and friendly. Easy and free luggage storage.

Location was great, short walk to the markets, port, cathedrals and theatres in the old town. Marco made restaurant suggestions and went out of his way to make our stay special. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices.

Location perfect for accessing city neighbourhoods, attractions, restaurants, bars, bus and taxi services. Pleasant boulevard area tree lined and with excellent cafes literally on the doorstep. There is nothing not to like.
This hotel was perfectly located to enjoy palermo by foot. The owner, Marco, is wonderful and hospitable. The room is very modern and clean. The breakfast was very satisfying with excellent pastries. This hotel is perfect for any stay in palermo and great value for money. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.
