Our room was large, charming in an oldy worldly kind of way. We were overlooking the grand canal which was fabulous. The location was wonderful,only moments from the Academia Bridge and a short stroll to St Marks Square. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and helpful. When we checked into our room the history of the hotel was explained to us.

Too far out, about 15 min from St Marks Sq. Hardly on the canal, the restaurant isn’t really on a terrace there is a small balcony for 2 to have a drink, not more. The room was extremely basic, nothing like the rest of the hotel

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is older style and white special for that

There had a wedding at the hotel and we could go up to have any meals and we could not use any of the rooms upstairs . Our bedroom was right under the wedding room and the noise was very loud

The newer part had a common area that needed a little more effort. The light needs a dimmer and the art on the walls needs to be properly arranged and the old nails taken down. But it was still a nice extra place to sit and read/look out the window.

It was amazing to stay in such a beautiful and historic palace!

Water pressure in the shower was a little wonky, but that's a frequent occurance in Venice. At the same time this wasn't bad to a point where it was difficult showering or getting clean, so it was not a big issue and certainly won't stop me from visiting again!

Friendly and helpful staff - personal, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. Perfect location for exploring Venice and the San Marco island by the Accademia. Beautiful and atmospheric hotel. Clean and surprisingly spacious room Bed was long! Much appreciated as a tall person in particular!

The description from Booking.com of the room reserved was for a bigger Deluxe room with a balcony. The room we had was very small with not balcony.

Whilst the Deluxe room which we had booked was much smaller than the Booking.com description, we were very happy with the building, décor and particularly the very helpful and friendly staff.

No a/c in the room . We could not turn the heating off ! We paid extra for a canal view room . This was not what we got .

The balcony in the restaurant that ivernlooked the grand canal - the waiter brought us prosecco and nibbles - it was phenomenal.

The facilities were not so good as in the shower didn’t work. But that’s old fashioned Venetian plumbing for you.

The location was spectacular and the atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful. It was quiet yet central but hidden away from the crowds.

Slightly strange bathroom arrangement. I could see my roommate on the loo or in the shower while sitting at the dressing table.

Stunning public rooms. Where we ate breakfast was exceptional. Lovely selection of food too. The staff were all delightful and very helpful.

No complaints really, though there was some kind of filming and/or other event happening on our last day and it would have been interesting to know what was going on - it didn't disrupt our stay in any way though.

Location perfect for us - central but quiet, great views, near many attractions without being too close to anywhere crowded or noisy. We booked at the price point of room allocation upon arrival and we were totally satisfied with our experience. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. The common areas such as the lounge, bar, restaurant, breakfast room etc. were a significant part of what attracted me to this hotel, and these were just as I expected or even better. Highly recommend both the hotel breakfast, as well as the restaurant and bar in the evening.

The directions to the hotel can be improved from the nearest ferry terminal like introducing more boards or signs as there was only one which I was able to notice. Initially, my wife was worried while following me in the chilly and foggy evening where no was there after taking right from the square.

The breakfast was fantastic. I really like the old style concept of this hotel considering it was built on an old building. It feels like you are having a royal breakfast in the morning. The rooms and hallways are being furnished to support the theme. Overall stay was comfortable. Location was good for us: near to ferry terminal, local market and key monuments. Every key place was at walkable distance or accessible through waterbus.

It can be challenging to find at 1st but so was everything else in Venice. This got easier towards the end of our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There where a few minor inconveniences on arrival but they were willing and able to fix the issues quickly with a room change and assistance to get coffee machine working. We really appreciate how much they cared about us having the best experience on our visit

The public space is quite palace, worth to have a breakfast or dinner there. The staff is professional. The only problem is I feel strange about the room floor.

No view of canal from our room. Bathroom small and had an unpleasant smell. Construction workers noisey early in the morning.

Location was good. Had a very large main bedroom.

None of the photos matched the room we booked. I appreciate that the reception looked into alternatives but it was a bit disappointing that what we got was nothing from the website photos. But the shared spaces in the property and the bar are beautiful.

Staff was really lovely and helpful. Great bar! Amazing location and thank you to the property for being so pet friendly!

We stayed in the highest room in the hotel and there is no elevator. My son has moving difficulties and that was a really bad thing.

The place is kind of palace in Venice. The vintage style was very nice. The common places in front of grand canal also turned the stay cooler. Finally, the breakfast was mind blowing. I could not see such well served during my trip. The honeycomb deserves an extra applause.
