The chance to stay in somewhere featured in the Palladio trail leaflet. The views from the apartment.

This apartment was right at the top of the building, access wasn't that easy. It is the exception in that regard.

A beautiful historic building in a peaceful part of the old town. Close to the centre and easy to walk to the shops and cafes. Within 15 minutes walk to station. Our family apartment was spacious over 2 floors and the whole building was very clean and well maintained. Check in was easy, with Francesca being in regular contact and meeting us when we arrived. Had a wonderful time in Vicenza.

    There was nothing to dislike.

    Nothing apart from the location

Many things! It was supposed to be in a palazzo, which was indeed the entrance but next you had to cross at the 3rd floor the roof of another building to get to the ‘apartment’, which was smelly, insanely hot (airconditioning had not enough capacity), wifi did not work (also after we asked about it), there were no bottles of water and showering presented some hurdles (the handle was outside of the shower cabin, warm water was a challenge and if you have long hair forget there’s enough water pressure to rinse the shampoo). Very low quality of apartment, too high a price for anything this bad

Perfect location. Friendly welcome by host. Huge space: bedroom plus a separate dining/living room, fridge, stove. Air conditioner. Safe bike storage at no extra charge.

Must be able to do stairs

Beautiful property with great history. Great location in central Vicenza as well as the train station and car parking being walkable. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Large room. Balconies had great 360 degree views of the city and surroundings.

Somewhat dusty. Bathroom quite small. Be aware that this particular room is not in the Palladian part.

Centric location, friendly staff. Palladio access but not in Palladio palace.

Cheap pillows, weird shower, old kitchen furniture.

It was like staying in a museum right in the historic center of Vicenza. We consider coming back.

This was an incredible experience. Francesca is an incredible host. You get to stay in one of Palladio's foremost buildings in the center of Vicenza. The apartment is spacious and feels like you've traveled back in time. The experience is unparalleled. The care taken to restore the building by the architect is quite a story. Designers, architects and history buffs will appreciate greatly-as will just everyone. Palladian Tour bike tour operator is right in the same building. Very convenient. Thank you Francesca!

A beautiful apartment, with a light airy feel - and what a location! Loved the framed prints of Palladio's drawings on the walls - over 40 of them. The prints belonged to Francesca's father Luigi, who spent decades restoring this Palladian palazzo after it was damaged by a bomb in 1944. Francesca's husband showed us their little museum in the basement, which shows the work done to restore the building. Most recently the facade has been conserved (fortunately not damaged by the bomb). We were so lucky to stay there, and would really love to stay again. Great to meet Francesca too.

A minor point: Instructions to access wifi in the Welcome Letter didn't apply to this apartment, which created some confusion until we saw the instructions for us on the table in front of the sofa.

The location was beyond perfect! One of the most gorgeous pedestrian streets in Vicenza...close to wonderful cafes, shopping, and restaurants. The building is stunning and the apartments are spacious and beautifully appointed. The parking lot for the apartments is a short, 5-minute walk (if arriving by car), and it is only 8 Euro for all day/overnight. We were able to walk all over Vicenza from the palace. The best location with the most perfect space in all of Vicenza! Francesca, the hostess, was wonderful! She was available to check us in when we arrived and answered our questions! When we return, we would love to stay at the same property! Highly recommend.

Nothing could have been better. It was perfect.

The apartment was a stunning massive suite in a Palladian Palace. The location was great, just off the main street and near the piazza. The owner was friendly, communicative, and had very helpful suggestions about local activities and businesses.

The Internet was weak, but I expected that in such an old place.

It was a real delight to be able to stay in a Palladio building. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The central location was an added bonus with lots of bars and restaurants nearby and only a short walk to all places of interest. We appreciated the helpful tips left by the owner.Vicenza is a beautiful city.

The spiral staircase to the bedroom and bathroom was a bit tricky for this elderly couple especially getting luggage up and down. The shower in the bath was also difficult to use.

This is really an architecture typical of Palladian Vicenza. There are no doubt peculiarities, but overall the place is excellent and there are no major hick-ups which could be justified by age. The location is perfect because it is close to the Piazza dei Signori and it is an area where you find very fashionable boutiques and shop.

Bathrooms could be renovated, but they are functional and clean.
