Wish we had gone from a room with a terrace or proper balcony as I like to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine.

Really comfortable stay, nice friendly staff, great facilities, pool lovely and clean every day. Love Montaione too.

Parking was a problem and it was hard to get some standard room amenities as found in American hotels. The rooms did not have an iron and you have to specially request for one. The breakfast was great, but dinning in here was astronomically expensive compared to other comparable restaurants.

The hotel is in a town that is not particularly nice - far from the medieval towns that are present in the area around ( San Gimignano is 30-40 minutes away but it is another thing) The location is ok if you need a place to stop overnight, but otherwise there are much better places, especially considering that reaching the town it is quite difficult as the road itself is difficult ( especially at night ) Breakfast was very disappointing both in selection and quality ( very poor) The restaurant is also overpriced for what it is

The room were nice and clean The building is historical and nice

Fairly basic breakfast selection and the restaurant didn’t open until 7.30pm for dinner which is a bit late when you have a baby.

Very quaint hotel in the cute little town of Montaione. Lovely good size rooms with gorgeous views out to Tuscany landscape. Lovely pool and very helpful & friendly staff.

The room we had in the old part of the hotel had 3 stone steps to the bathroom and was an unusual shape and also the toilet smelt a bit.

Liked the terrace where we could sit and have a drink prior to going out. The pool area was lovely with lots of sun loungers to relax. The beds were comfy and all the staff we met were lovely and helpful. Liked the fact the little town is on your doorstep.

Overnight Car Parking was in the public car park of a local Co-op supermarket. The parking adjacent to the hotel was restricted during the day, and reserved overnight for local residents. Carrying luggage up a long and steep stairway not ideal for anyone of limited physical capability.

Excellent catering all round. Dinner was superb, if a little expensive, but the quality of the cooking was faultless.

More lighting in the room and in the bathroom is needed. The bath tub is protected with a glass wing in order to keep the shower water within the tub, but it is too short and the water is on the floor outside the tub. This is dangerous as it makes the bath floor slippery.

Everything was very good, and its excellent value for money. We had a large comfortable room with a little patio to sit outside. We stayed in the new building. The bathroom was well equipped and very clean. The staff was amazing and the service fantastic. The location is right in the middle of Tuscany, and we drove every day in a different direction which enabled us to tour the region without travelling very long distances. Breakfast is very nice and plentiful, and the coffee of course is great.

The sunbeds require renewal. The pigeons that drink from the pool... hope that can be solved in some sort of way...

The hotel is very nice and well maintained. Rooms are spacious (junior suite) and clean. Good atmosphere and nice helpful staff. All the parasols were renewed during our stay, which is good! I drive an electric car and they have a charger, which is really convenient!

Breakfast is not particularly good (e.g. no fresh fruit, limited assortment, pretty terrible coffee). Our room had strange Italian power outlets that didn't fit our European plugs (they require 3-pin plugs). After checking with the staff they gave us an adapter, but not the best place for charging electronics. Wifi wasn't great either.

Nice hotel in Montaione - a good base to start your Tuscany exploration. We were offered a room in the older part of the hotel, which was perhaps a little dated, but still nice and very clean and with a good shower. Lovely view of the Tuscan hills from the room and the outside of the hotel looked nice as well. Staff were friendly. I would skip the onsite parking and park in the nearby parking lot (we were told these spots were only for locals, but none of the signs pointed to that). Montaione itself is a cute little town located on a hill, ensuring excellent views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape.

After knowing that the hotel has newer side too we switched the room from old to new part of the hotel. It depends what someone likes. For us worked best that way. Hotel itself is very nice. Higly recommend. Location and surroundings are the pearl. Suff was very frendly and helpful. Plenty of room for free parcking near the hotel.

Our bathroom had mold. Further, very few persons in the staff spoke any English. The staff was also unaware of basic things such as where we could park our car and the opening hours of the pool.

Location was good for exploring Tuscanny by car. The village Montaione was also laid-back, cute and had a few OK restaurants. Dining hall of the hotel was nice with a vaulted roof.

No ironing facility in room or hotel (for safety reasons apparently), after being told the housekeeping "could help out guests if they had time" they then did a bad job of ironing the clothes and try to charge the same price as sending to the dry cleaners (their only real option). They did drop this charge after a fight with the manager.

The view from my balcony over the tuscan hills was great. Nice location, especially if you have a car to get to all the nearby villiages.

On arrival, no place to safely unload luggage & mountainous steep steps to reception, no porters to assist. Pigeon activity all day long at the pool with resulting deposits in the pool. Inadequate air conditioning in room on top floors. Poor lighting in bathrooms. Poolside bar abandoned & had to visit main reception for service. Sun beds at poolside were well past their best. Garden area beside pool badly neglected & unkempt & no shade for outdoor dining. The area at the side of the pool is a busy walkway between old part of hotel & the new annex, constantly in use, disturbing the rest & relaxation you are meant to enjoy on holiday.

This place has a lot of potential but there are a number of serious issues that need to be addressed by senior management.
