How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All good!
We booked a double room and a triple room here and we were really surprised by how big, elegant and clean the rooms were. The spaces are well taken care of and very welcoming, in a very good location in Sassari. The host, Salvatore, was extremely kind and even upgraded for free our room in order to give us a more comfortable stay. He gave us also really useful tips on what to do and where to eat, and it has all worked out perfectly. Thanks so much!

It was perfect.
The warm welcome we received was fabulous, very kind and considerate for a family member with a temporary mobility impairment. Perfectly located and a layout that made everything easy. Spotlessly clean.

A very clean, comfortable, homely guest room with an electric coffee maker and includes some free snack foods and drinks. The manager was very helpful and responded well to my messages. A great location in Sassari.

Very central and great hospitality from Salvatore. Was there only for two nights and found room clean each day with fresh snacks and toiletries.

Very clean, lots of snacks and juice provided, plenty of tea and coffee and milk in the fridge which was a very nice touch. Salvatore was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Grazie mille.

Loud sound,vibration from apartment above in bathroom (use of water?). Bedroom not accessible when someone else in bathroom
Very roomy and clean, host provided many snacks. Loved the shower jets!

Well the guesthouse is located exactly in one of the most beautiful squares of Sassari. It was more like an apartment than a room due to how big it was. Also equipped with a kitchen, very clean, comfortable and quiet. There are many shops nearby and even the major attractions can be seen on foot. Salvatore the owner, is a good host.

In the shower, there's nothing fixed to put the shower gel, so you have to put it on the floor. Small detail !
The room, 301. a former appartment, is huge ! High ceilings, corner kitchen, entrance... It's right on Piazza Azuni, 5mn walk from the main square, Piazza d'Italia. It's very clean and very convenient, I highly recommend !

A bit strange that the cleaning lady needed to do the reception and she didn't speak much English.
Comfortable and spacious appartement. Very good location right in the middle of the city centre, but still quiet.

The curtains smother the air conditioning so that it is not very effective unless the curtains are moved out of the way. Even so, the passable air conditioning was barely sufficient and slightly underpowered.
The room was spacious, clean and functional. When we arrived, the owner was not there but the entry doorbell, intercom automatically connected us and connected housekeeping to let us in and give us the keys. The owner was helpful with arranging transport to the AHO airport and identifying possible restaurants.

The rooms are very nice, spacious, silent and very clean. The appartment is in the centre of the city therefore allowing access to everywhere and it's near restaurants and places where to go out. The host is extremely nice and available. I absolutely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Piazza Azuni 18 Guest House. Salvatore was more than friendly, helped us a lot and was always available. He also recommended great restaurants and places to visit. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, clean and a perfect stay if you visit beautiful Sassari, especially as a family. Will definitely book Piazza Azuni 18 again, if we travel back to Sardinia. Thanks a lot!!!

Great experience overall
- The size of the apartment - geographical position - amazingly nice and flexible host who allowed us to check in earlier and check out later (thank you Salvatore!) - snacks are provided everyday - kitchen with great appliances (coffee machine, cutlery, kettle, etc) - view on the piazza
