the lack of plug points - there was a plug above the hob which made it tricky to use master bed mattress was too hard for me personally

Location was ideal for walking into san gimignano the room was spacious with all facilities we needed the pool was fantastic, lovely and clean, relaxing with lots of loungers and umbrellas the gardens were lovely loved the washing machine facility especially as our stay was towards the end of our holiday

Could walk into San Gimignano but fairly strong uphill grade all the way in the heat is tough.

We loved this place! It’s a great location just outside of San Gimignano that offers peace and tranquility of the Tuscan landscape, and a short drive into town. The rooms were clean and the property well maintained, including the pool which offers a perfect place to relax on hot afternoons.

Nothing - we loved everything!

The beautiful landscape and how well kept the accommodation was. The host, Dario, was very welcoming and helpful - he spoke perfect English and gave us some great tips for exploring the area. The grounds are stunning, everywhere you look is beautiful and there are plenty of spaces to enjoy peacefully. The accommodation is only a 15minute walk to the centre of San Gimignano but feels far from the busy tourist areas.

We liked our experience but I think certain things may be improved. We weren't provided with toilet essentials. For a week of staying, the room wasn't cleaned once and nobody came to bring us a toilet paper, just for example. We had reserved another room, but when we got there we had a surprise that we received `an update`. I didn't appreciate that because I know what I booked and what I wanted to receive. Anyway, I haven't address my complain, but if you want to make sure you will reveive the room you booked you should ask beforehand. The check-in was very difficult to make. Until the last day, I haven't received a message from them even though I gave them a couple of messages on whatsapp and on booking. When somebody finally answered, the check-in was unavailable - it wasn't very smooth to say at least. We enjoyed our stay but they could improve. It's a shame because the area is so beautiful. P.S. We stayed for a week in February and for more than half of the week we were alone in the propriety. Some might find it a little scary. It was ok, but due to the fact that the gates were always open, I was a little scared.

We loved the area. It was very quiet and there where even rabbits and deers in the area. It was a delight to see them in the mornig.

We loved the location. It was so central to a number of Tuscan towns. The grounds of this place was beautiful. The rolling hills with pool and pine trees. Very photogenic. The kitchen was good. The TV worked. The washing machine worked. Good hot water.

The place was great, the below are details: The main bedroom smelled a bit like food from the moment we entered — it could be maybe communicating with another area of the whole house, or it could be coming from the air conditioning system. We’ve missed having a washing machine (maybe there was a communal one and we missed it?) and an oven would be a great addition.

Great location, friendly owners and property managers. The view was breathtaking. The kids would play downstairs safely. We were an hour away from big cities like Florence and Pisa making it ideal for daily trips. The village itself was beautiful and the house was 2 mins from a supermarket. There were also deers near the property!

Wifi was terrible. No access in room. And that was after the great difficulty in discovering the password. It was not on the introduction messages nor was it in the room. It was only found after walking around the complex and found it written on the wall outside of the reception.

The only two minor disadvantages are low reception inside the ground floor apartment (and also the wi-fi signal), and the entry road to the complex is a bit damaged from rain (it's a narrow dirt road)

The best view we've ever had in italy was right outside our door! The complex is an isolated, beautiful paradise. Every inch is clean and taken care of. Beautiful and comfy interior- bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The pool view is breathtaking, better than most views in tuscany (not kidding). A very comfortable bed. Great location- few minutes drive from the town center. Also the landlord and the housekeeper were so nice to us- a special thank you to Dario, you are the best!

It can be difficult to get there without a car. On the way to the city center, you also have to walk on the road. Salt and dishcloth would be great to have.

We had a great apartment with a nice pool and an amazing view. It is a perfect spot to relax.

We loved our stay at Podere Raggio di Sole! It was the perfect location for us for a week in Tuscany. Our apartment (Zaffiro) was perfect for our group (2 adults, 1 child) and had everything we needed to self-cater for the week. We loved the property...especially the pool. It was a hot week during our stay (36+), and the air con was perfect. There are hammocks in the shade and different activities to enjoy as well (ping pong, etc). Parking was easy (and covered). We chose to drive into San Gimignano and it was easy to access the car parks in town, as well as the Coop nearby for groceries. We planned to arrive late, and the check-in process was easy (online check in) with code provided to access keys, etc. Our host, Roberta, was on-site daily and always greeting us with a big smile. Podere Raggio di Sole was a perfect spot for us to enjoy time by the pool, as well as travel to nearby cities like Florence, Siena and Volterra for day trips.

No basic products like salt, pepper, drying towels present. Also lack of toilet paper (1 roll) and garbage bags (1 bag). Would also be nice if there would be more than one bedding set (sheets and covers) available.

Beautiful property and very well maintained. Outdoor swimming pool area superb. Enough privacy. Airconditioning in the apartment. Excellent location and enough parking spaces. At walking distance from San Gimignano.

About 5 minutes of the walk from the property to San Gimignano was along a busy road. Everything else was fabulous

Peaceful, away from the tourists yet a 15minute walk from San Gimignano so still easy to access all attractions. large property with swimming pool and free laundry, opportunity to meet other travelers around the pool, each unit has a kitchen and a private space outside to enjoy dinner etc. our host Dario was so very helpful, quick to respond, answered all our questions.

The stairs were too narrow to safely carry suitcases up, so they had to stay on the ground level. The hot water in shower ran out after 10mins despite being the only people on the property. There is NO space on benches for cooking and preparing food and no dish towel or cleaning products other than dish soap in the kitchen. An extension cord runs behind sink, very unsafe when washing dishes. The decor was very outdated and old. The wifi was shockingly bad, limited phone signal, perhaps because our apartment was so far from the office? When the sun did come out we went to use the outdoor furniture but it was not clean. There was curtains on 3/5 of the windows and were not black out curtains so were woken by the sun and had no privacy. I requested a cot for 5month old baby, nothing was provided in the room. The washing machine does not work!! We only book places that have a washing machine due to travelling with an infant, not good at all. Also THE most rock solid mattress on the bed that we've ever slept on. It also smelled stale like old smoke or a charity shop - you know the smell.

Beautiful views, no neighbours. Warm towels in bathroom.
