Excellent stay at Hotel Poseidon! Everything was great and we especially enjoy the breakfast and chilling time up on the pool level. Staff was helpful and kind, and the view is absolutely amazing. Will recommend to those that are traveling to Positano!

The balcony view was amazing you look down the city & partial view of ocean. It’s a Vintage hotel. Breakfast was outdoor with a breathtaking view & wide variety of food. It is a walk downhill to get to city center but then going back to hotel was a bit of struggle.

Charming perfectly located family owned and run hotel. Very comfortable sizable room with balcony overlooking Positano and the beautiful pool deck. Beautifully appointed common lounge and dining areas with understated Italian elegance. Excellent breakfast with wide assortment of hot and cold choices. And the friendliest and most welcoming staff at all levels who co out of their way to make your stay meaningful. Highly appreciated.

We paid extra for a large, premium room in order to have a balcony. However, the AC system in the room turns off if you use the balcony at all. So your choice is to forego the balcony and be comfortable, or use the balcony and roast in the heat. I would not recommend paying up for the top tier rooms during season for this reason, but would recommend staying at this hotel in one of the junior rooms.

Arriving by boat with a suitcase is tricky as taxis are so far away , although there are ‘Portas’ who can at (€10 per suitcase) take your luggage to your hotel. Arriving from the mainland (airport) shouldn’t be an issue as taxis can drop you off at the hotel entrance.

A beautiful authentic hotel perched on the side on the hill, the views over Positano are stunning. The breakfast offering was adequate, the quality of pastries very good. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you.

The hotel location, the rooms, the views, the friendly family atmosphere, the staff, the Reception Management were truly amazing and made our holiday a wonderful experience. We will definitely return to Positano and Hotel Poseidon in the future. Suzanne

The owner and her staff are something to admire - probably the best hospitality we have ever had. Nothing was too much to ask of them, very willing to go the extra mile and very friendly/polite. The location is close to many shops, restaurants, and bars, yet high enough on the hill to be away from very bustling streets. We actually ended up loving the II Tridente restaurant/bar and the amenities of our suite that we spent most of our time relaxing at the hotel.

Everything! Immediate first class treatment from first step on property. We were early, room wasn’t ready so they upgraded us to a bigger suite with a terrace bigger than the room and overlooked all of Positano. Staff was attentive and always there for you from housekeeping to bartenders to waiters to the front desk. Buffet breakfast with mimosa and Bloody Mary bar was delicious. Manager, Firenza(?sorry?) answered every question and had our backs the entire stay.

I was bamboozled by the choice of hotels in Positano. it was a special holiday and I was hoping to have the best experience possible for our 2 day visit. I looked at all the high & mid range options. I had, in fact, booked a more expensive hotel when I came across a review for this hotel independently. I’m delighted I chose The Poseidon. This is a no fuss, authentically delightful vintage hotel. It’s not hung up on being overly cool or luxurious, which is refreshing and relaxing. The view from the balcony is amazing. Our room ( we luckily got a last minute upgrade to the Wow room) was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the pool and Tridente restaurant were faultless. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. it’s a short stroll down to the water. A winning hotel in my humble opinion.

The hotel is absolutely the best choice in Positano! Built in 1955, it retains the classic feel while being in perfect condition. The ocean view room is the best in the area , a view of the cliffs and ocean is stunning day and night. The staff are some of the nicest and most professional people you'll see in the hospitality sector. I can't thank them enough. The rooms are large and beautiful. The restaurant and poolside lounge is one of the best views in the area ....I would recommend it for people not staying in the hotel as well. Food and service was absolutely amazing! If you plan to visit the area, then Positano is the best spot and Poseidon is definitely the best hotel. I'm booking the same hotel and room in my next visit without even thinking.
