Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was all good.
The President is a great hotel with great staff that is in desperate need of a renovation. The rooms are perfectly clean but look like something from a nineties movie. The staff is really excellent and very very nice.

Small room.
The hotel location is near the train station and city center is in a walking distance. The staff are friendly they tried their best to help.

The room felt a bit old. The mattress was too hard for my taste.
Excellent location, a few steps away from the Brignole train station and ~1 km away from the coast. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice.

I stayed first in Room 421 (with round window). It was raining the first day I stayed (Feb. 27) . The window leaked, the carpet was soaking wet, and the bathroom door did not shut. I was transferred to Room 710: excellent. Met all expectations. Please change the worn-out rug on the fourth floor, and take care of the leaks. Otherwise, great stay.

The direct a/c on my head at night and the bathroom was a bit old, you could see around the bath signs of leaking on the wall and tiles.

I wish they'd wash the windows, it's a shame to have a fantastic view and have streaky dusty windows to shoot photos through...
Room was clean and beautiful, very comfortable. Extra pillows were fantastic. Only slight drawback... the cotton sheets were very warm, and the whole room was very warm most of the time, the thermostat didn't work well

This hotel is outdated. The pictures online are better. There was no door blocking the water in shower, so water was all over the floor and toilet did not flush correctly. The room key is a regular key attached to a bulky and heavy key chain. Additional Parking Charges.
The room was large and sparkling clean. The mattress was very comfortable and you even have the choice of pillows. Receptionist really nice and fast/helpfull at check in/out. Location perfect!

Reception and breakfast staff - apart from the 2 reception staff, the staff's soft skills may be improved. Smiling to guests won't hurt. The tone of the lady at the reception who handled our check in leaves a lot to be desired. Wifi connection was on and off but that's fine because we have data anyway. Room temperature - we called the reception to ask how can we adjust the temperature because it was getting hot. We were informed that the heater was on and that she can send someone to open the window. We said it's fine, no need. We just turned off the aircon and it was much better.
Reception - there are 2 reception staff who are exceptionally personable, with very good soft skills. One is the lady with black hair who called a taxi for us and the other is the gentleman (around 50+ years old maybe) who handled our check out. Bar man - he is very welcoming. Lovely attitude towards guests. Housekeeping - very fast and awesome cleaning. We had our daily supply of coffee and sugar packs. Location - very close to the train station. The city center is within manageable walking distance with a kid in tow. Breakfast - spread is good and has a lot of choices (sweet and savory).

unfortunately, the AC system was not working since its winter, it was really hot in the room and we were unable to sleep, so the staff were kind enough to help to open the safety sealed windows for air breeze, however mosquitos filled the room and we had many bites.
the hotel location is great very near to brignole train and metro station, and also a walking distance to the lively street reaching to piazza de ferrari. the room is big and huge compared to any other hotels. the hotle is classic old style but its nice.

Windows don't open. Blocked drain at shower innondeted the bathroom.
Conveniently located across the street from Brignole Station. The renovated rooms are bright and clean.Good breakfast. Grand ground floor,with lots of seating options to sit with visiting friends

Shower that kept losing water in the bathroom, need to be slender to go inside the cabin.
