It's better to pay closer attention to special demands like double or twin beds to avoid misundestanding. We couldn't pay at reception by credit card due to untable work of bank terminal.

Location is very good, close to the lake sidewalk, lake ferries, restaurants and little shops. Clean, a bit small, but comfortable rooms with balconies.

We were surprised by how noisy the Primavera was. The clock tower on the church opposite was fine, because it doesn't chime at night, and there was little road noise, being back from the main lake-side road, but the blown-air heating system and the water pipes rumbled on and off all night. Our bathroom was functional and clean, but let down by frayed towels, and plastic cups in the tea making kit are not a good idea as they soon become discoloured.

The breakfast was very nice with lovely croissants.

I would say the only thing was the beds were a bit hard for our liking, but pretty typical for Italian standards.

We loved the location. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The girl that checked us in was very friendly and had great advice when we asked her about our plans for the next day. The man in the restaurant made us wonderful cappuccinos in the morning. The restaurant even had real eggs. Also, the wifi worked very well.

The hotel does not cater for non smokers. They don't have any non smoking rooms Our room smelt of smoke that they tried to cover up with air freshener . Provided a kettle and cups but no tea bags or coffee why not remove the kettle? As it was off season and value for money that might explain it.

Great location in the centre of town. If on the top floor the neighbouring church bell tower may be a little intrusive.

Good hotel near to lake. Eveyrthing was good, heating was working (during November this is the important point). First night my room not available and asked to sleep at sister hotel in a room with dirty carpet, cobwebs on wall and pedestrian, traffic and reception noise. Management did not take responsibility for their problem and I moved back to Primavera on second night. Bell tower of the church is right next to hotel and rings from 8am to 8pm. Breakfast ordinary.

Parking is Stresa is difficult to say the least. I felt that the hotel misrepresented themselves by saying that there is free public parking nearby. They never mention that they DO have private parking for 4.5 Euros a day which we ended up using. Trying to find a public parking space is almost impossible. I also learned something about the verbiage when discussing the beds. Many hotels say they have a queen size bed but actually it's 2 twins together. If in their advertising they add the dimentions of the bed, then they're usually twins. This wasn't so bad in 2 other hotels, but in the Primavera the twins didn't "match" well and there was a huge lump down the middle of the bed. The owner or the "boss" of the hotel works at the restaurant across the path and also at the restaurant next door. I felt he was so busy running from one business to another that he didn't have time to really think about the comfort of his clients. All the other staff were very positive and helpful however.

The breakfast was typical Italian Motel-6 type food.

Disorganised, dirty room and appliances (coffee and mozzarella balls from previous guests in our "clean" room), out of date facilities, no towels until 14:00 and had to use a bed sheet to dry myself before a wedding. Inconsiderate and disorganized management: the first night we were moved to another hotel outside the city centre without advance notification, took us 1 hour to check in (and 3 stopovers with a crying baby). We had to move back to the primavera hotel the next morning and find our room out of date, dirty and with no towels. All these doesn't seem to stress or bother the manager at all. It doesn't look anything like the pictures on booking.com.

Breakfast poor, coffee awful, The woman in the reception arrogant, the property details says "Free! Free public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not needed).", which is just a trick to get you into their place. There is no free parking for the hotel, nor is there an available free parking nearby without reservation, there is just public parking available which you have to pay and doesn't count as a "facility", So when you filter " free parking" and you get to this hotel, don't fall for the trick.

The location o the lake was really close. Breakfast quite good. Staff very attentive and helpful. We got the "disabled" room on the 1st floor and as such had the biggest balcony and door opening onto the balcony.
