Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bed was very hard. Fridge was empty and although water was available at reception it would have been nice to have at least one small bottle in the room.
Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff, only a couple of minor niggles. Beautiful bar/sitting area and sun terrace. Pool looked nice but weather wasn’t good enough. Easy short walk to centre.

Unfortunately our neighbour liked to smoke ( a lot!) on their terrace and so, as non smokers, we couldn’t comfortably sit out nor leave the terrace door open as the breeze brought the smoke over to us.
Very good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Hotel is close to centre of town and only a short walk from the theatre, casino, main streets, beach and the markets. Pool and area is nice and well maintained. Room was a little dated but quite spacious, very clean and comfortable. There is a small fridge available and cold drinks available at reception. Staff were very efficient and friendly. They work hard to ensure parking when possible.

Our room was rather tiny, but for the price ok. Storing and accessing a big suitcase would probably have been a challenge. Reaching the hotel by car using Google maps was another difficulty as the the software doesn't know that the road leading to the hotel is a one-way street.
The hotel is very centrally located, shops and restaurants are easily reached by foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Secure parking on the premises is possible, although places are quite limited. The restaurant serves a good meal in the evening, however there is no choice à la carte. Breakfast was acceptable. The room we stayed in was on the top floor with its own little balcony which provided a nice view over the sea.

The furniture on the balcony were a little unstable to sit on.
It felt like a family owned business. Very friendly atmosphere. Helpful and service minded staff. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed. Our requests about twin beds upon arrival were met.

This hotel meets all the expectations. It is in walking distance to the Casino, city center, very good restaurants and beaches. Breakfast is good. The pool now looks amazing and the staff are extremely helpful. The great plus is the possibility to park the car.

The pool was not in service. The breakfast was pretty limited. The pool table was in very poor condition. The main entrance/exit for pedestrians is pretty complicated and awkward.
The location was pretty good in terms of going out on a daily basis. It's not very close to the train station, and there's no sidewalk along the road to the hotel. Staff were quite surprised that I was not coming by car. The cocktails were awesome.

Limited restaurant service and the times written in the brochure within the room was not the same as written downstairs, causing confusion.

The acoustics of the room sometimes was not conducive to relaxation - you could hear what TV program the neighbor was watching. Breakfast would be perfect if there were more vegetables on them.
Pleasant location - close to the casino, main walking avenue and the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room spacious and clean. Good breakfasts.
