We messaged the property a month or 2 before our stay to request a baby cot and a kettle to boil the baby’s water. They promised that these will be given to us when we arrive. Unfortunately these were not available on our first night and were provided on our 2nd day.

Very un-warm staff and overall ambiance. No charm. Spa and swimming pool facilities very expensive for a “spa hotel”. (Access to swimming pool 15 eur per hour and person. Spa 50 eur for 1 hour per person)

If there are more people for breakfast, all the tables are dirty and the staff doesn't care to clean them for the new people that are coming. One day when we came back to the room, it was cleaned, but I find my ultrasonic toothbrush smeared in something disgusting all over only on one of the buttons. It was so obvious, that I think it was in purpose. Just disgusting.

We stayed here off season (rainy and cold), whereas all in and around this hotel is built for an enjoyable stay during the season (25+ degrees Celcius); flooring typically built for hot weather (stone floors, also in the rooms)

I don't think it is a 4 star resort. The phone in the room didn't work. We had to get the TV fixed. You have to pay to go to the gym and the pool deck chairs are not placed around the pool - for some reason - so you sit on the concrete.

This hotel was in a good position but the entrance was a little hard to find until you knew where it was. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great - the lady who made me coffee each day was amazing!

The spa, gym, and pool weren’t open due to renovations. It would’ve been nice if it was clearly posted on their website and on booking.com.

Well instead of calling this place “4 spa hotel” it should named “no spa hotel” I was looking forward to try the spa at that hotel and that’s why I mainly booked it but the spa was closed and they didn’t mention that fact when i booked it, also no good beaches near and they closed the pool coz of the etna explode for one day, that of course i can understand but the day after only let me stay until 15:00 instead of giving me a late cheak out at 18:00

Chose hotel because of wellness and WiFi both important to us, but both services were out of operation for the entirety of stay. Would have been good to know.

No pool facilities due to maintenance and was not advised prior to arrival or offered any other use of spa. No WiFi connection or information packs in the room , especially for in room dining.

The pool bar service is slow, it wasn't busy so maybe less staff on.

It was perfect for us as we wanted a pool for our daughter. We were here for a wedding, so we knew we'd be travelling in taxis daily due to the location we picked. A taxi cost around €27 one way into Catania. And around €15 to the castle nearby. Very clean and quiet hotel.

This hotel is not really for leisure and families, it should be made very clear that this is a hotel that is mainly for business visitors and for those who have some medical treatments in the clinic next door ,which is also part of the hotel. The access to any service is charged per hour for example, the gym or the pool, with no exception, even for a young person. The location is terrible really far away from Catania, in the middle of nowhere, and there is nothing nearby, no restaurants, or anything. There is no beach either, it is a rocky area with no access to the sea.

Rooms were too warm - no aircon in both rooms (we couldn’t get it to work) had to open window which let the mosquitos in. Breakfast was poor (apart from the cakes)

spa very expensive (30 euro for 1 hour). This is not what I expect from "wellness" hotel.

We had a dog and we're not told he could not enter breakfast room with us, so had to stay in the room and was barking all the time waking up other guests. My dog was stressed alone and guest complaining. As a hotel, you need to tell guests all the rules before they book not after as we got upset by this. The next day however, we ate in the board room away from other guests.

I booked a premium room with a balcony. The room had zero drinking making facilities. No water available, and was quite dusty. The decor was tired with blown wood surrounds and a mirror that looked like it was there when Etna last erupted! It felt we were put in a ‘discounted’ room, saved for ‘deal’ bookings. Disappointing.

The property is a wonderful looking place with amazing facilities. It is obviously a place to come and heal, relax, and recover from injuries mainly. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was nice to wake up to. The saving grace for us were the two waiters in the restaurant. Michelin star level service, impeccable! The food almost matched.
