Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PIN code given before arrival was no longer correct. Just make sure you use WhatsApp to communicate rather than trying to call the host. Otherwise stay was terrific!
Accommodation, unique styling, location, superb restaurants directly below. Quick communication with hosts on WhatsApp.

The room is fitted with a comfortable bed, a small kitchen counter with basic equipment and also a modern bathroom. Despite its fantastic location in the city centre, there is hardly any noise from the streets at night. The windows overlook the building's inner courtyard. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the bottles of water that were being kept cool in the fridge, two pairs of slippers and equipment for preparing coffee or tea. Great communication with management, received all necessary information the day before our arrival. Highly recommend!

This was truly great place to stay in an excellent location. The owners have been an outstanding hosts. we have got everything we wanted, even help with booking a taxi to the airport. We got a free upgrade to our room. Evertything was just excellent.

The apartment was very good, clean, appropriate for 3 person family and the host helpful, with guidance. Early check-in and fresh towels the 2nd day was a pleasant. The area is very close to Castello Di Saint Angelo and Vatican. You can find many some branch coffee shops in the area.

We did have issues with the toilet flushing but the host was very helpful to get it fixed quickly. The kettle also leaks a bit.
Host was very responsive and helpful. It was so convenient to be able to leave our baggage there before and after check in. The location is really nice and a bus stops close by connecting to rest of the city. The room was perfect for a long weekend and was well sound proofed. Was easy to check in and out.

Getting into space a little confusing. Make sure you look at the what’s app message closely prior to trying to enter
Great location close to all the great restaurants around Piazza Navona but not too loud. Easy walk to Vatican, Trestevere.

The only down side was no view, but I believe you can pay extra for a view room.
Location is amazing for the Vatican. Also this apartment is very cleaver in that is looks very clean and simple, but has pretty much everything you need.

It’s pricey but this is Rome…
Clean, lots of space, comfortable and right next to Castelo Sant Angelo. Little fridge was very useful to have something to eat before leaving in the morning. A/C worked perfectly and the windows isolated the noise amazingly well.

TV could be nicer but that just my preference and maybe some extra towels
Locations was absolutely spot on. All main event within 20mins walk. Air con was a treat due to Italy heat!

There were only 2 windows and the kitchen was minimal. But just as pictured, and honestly in the heat of Italy it was nice to be in the cool air conditioning. Host was very helpful.

It would be nice to add some milk for coffee. Also the taxi company that the property recommended is expensive therefore a suggestion for other options could be included in the overall information given to the customers.
Pretty place, convenient location. Well organised check in and check out. Complimentary water. Nice kitchen kit.

I did not notice before booking that there was no room cleaning service during your stay. But we asked for fresh towels and the owner left us new towels. We also had some issues connecting to wifi.
Clean, very close to centre. felt very safe returning back late after a night out in the area. The owner made sure to keep in touch if we needed anything and updated us with any public transport strikes in Rome. Nice view from room and facilities available were great.

Air conditioning only cooled about half of the room, so it could’ve been more comfortable. Only realized on the last evening that there was a washer and dryer in the common area. The host was a little defensive when I asked questions about the property, but everything worked out fine.
As everyone says, it was a great location. Great amenities, modern bathroom and secure.

We had issues with the WIFI. Evenings were the worst.
Lovely apartment in a 16th century building, with lots of charm and character and very tastefully decorated. Location is excellent, just next to a charming pedestrian area with lots of restaurants, across Castle San Angelo and within walking distance to the Vatican and the Pantheon. Room was comfortable, clean and very quiet even though we were just above a pizzeria, windows were thick enough to cut the noise from the street. Instructions to get the key were clear and easy to follow. Great communication through WhatsApp. I wouldn't stay longer than 3 nights because there is no daily cleaning, but for a short stay, it is perfect.
