Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

It is amazing castle, the best that we have stayed. Great atmosphere, really polite staff that helped me to organise really special evening for my fiance. The rooms are stylish and luxurious. We enjoyed every moment there.

United KingdomNothing to criticise. There were few other guests on the night we stayed, so with such big empty spaces in the castle it felt a little unatmospheric. The castle appears to be set up mainly as an event venue.
This is a fascinating place to stay. There are numerous public spaces packed full of the owners’ collections of antiques and artefacts. It’s really interesting, especially in this historic castle setting. Our room was entirely in keeping, very handsomely furnished in period style but also very comfortable with every modern convenience. The bathroom was equally stylish with classy toiletries provided.

CanadaBreakfast was incredibly varied and was high quality. The furnishings in our room were atmospheric and beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. All staff we encountered spoke English well and were very helpful. Wandering around the castle and exploring at night was magical and we had an incredible wine tasting in the cellar, our host for the wine tasting was awesome.

LithuaniaReal historical experience in a castle with modern comfort. Excellent restaurant. Service-oriented staff of the hotel. The map of the castle is free - this is like a museum. The city walls of Montagnana are 5 minutes away by car.

United States of AmericaIt was just a little noisy because of the wedding going on downstairs, but I completely understood that they have no control over that. It's just something to be aware of if you are visiting on a weekend with small children! All in all, it was our favorite place to stay on our trip.
It was a gorgeous castle with a very friendly staff. We were treated like royalty! The food was delicious and the breakfast was fantastic. I loved getting to walk around the castle and learning about the history. It was also just a short walk to the train station. The staff was hands down the most accommodating that I have ever experienced.

United States of AmericaThis castle is awesome! Only wish was that their staff would be able to relay all the fun things that they have available on the premises. I'm sure some of it was due to a language barrier.
The room was very accommodating and spacious. Food and wine were excellent. There is also a neat medieval town less than 10 minutes away with fun shops and cafes

SpainIt is absolutely overpriced for the experience they offer for a regular stay. You can tell they make most of their business for events (weddings, anniversaries, thematic nights) and they probably do a great job on those, but they are careless regarding people who choose to stay just because they want to stay: - We were forbidden to explore beyond 10pm because there are night alarms. - My boyfriend is allergic to dust and he could immediately tell that even though the commonly used surfaces were clean, a lot of corners, nooks and crannies had not been dusted properly and he spent the whole stay sneezing and full of snot. - All of the rooms of the castle are full of set tables and chairs like there is going to be an event. There was no event during our stay, they just do not put them away at all. This results in you having to dodge them to visit around or to take pictures. Also you cannot sit in all of these rooms and just enjoy the place. You have to go to the bar. Such a shame to have this huge place that you cannot enjoy properly unless you’re having a huge event. In other castles we have visited they have a specific area for events, but the regular clients can sit around and sip some wine checking the paintings or the antiques. - There are not many options for lunch or dinner nearby, so we booked their restaurant and chose a tasting menu. Attention was good and the place is charming, but the food… I would say it was just OK and yet they charge like they appear in the Michelin guide. They also have a high coperto that they do not wave even though you are a guest in the castle. - Additionally, restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. This I understand, but we were told we could not even have some cheese or a glass of wine at the bar. So if you stay here on a Wednesday you should have a car, otherwise you cannot reach anywhere on foot.
The castle is absolutely beautiful. Personnel were nice. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom had a huge bathtub. We did a wine tasting that was probably one of the best experiences of our stay and I highly recommend it. Easy to reach by train (a car is not strictly necessary) and good connections to visit nearby cities.
