Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaEvery time when we took a shower, there was a puddle of water on the floor. Room 100.
The hotel was stylish and well decorated with a lot of different small details like pictures on the walls, books, etc, which made us feel guests in a real home of old Roman times. The lady spoke English very well, as well as a few other languages. There was a small fridge in the room, though it was not very cold. The location was perfect, when you are there, take a chance to visit the park of Villa Borghese , with a lot of 🦜, it is so close and really worth visiting.

United StatesThe alarm went off when we tried getting in. The shower had half a glass cover and no further coverage so the shower leaked constantly. Also the pressure could only be used halfway because the shower sprayed upwards due to some poor facet if all the way on.
The breakfast host was very nice and helpful, even letting us grab a breakfast to go before breakfast started. The beds were comfortable and room was clean.

United KingdomInitial access to the rooms through the main entrance was a little complicated. The lift is very slow.
Our room was comfortable, modern, and aesthetically pleasing, with a pleasant view onto the street. The property is in a historic building, featuring an impressive authentic Roman entrance through huge wooden doors. Breakfast was good, with a coffee machine available at any time, and the option to have breakfast in the room created a relaxed start to the day. The hosts were communicative and easy to reach via WhatsApp, which was very convenient. The bathroom was modern, and the air conditioning worked efficiently, adding to the overall comfort. The location is excellent, close to numerous sites and just a 15-minute walk from Termini station.

NetherlandsThe airco is a bit noisy but works properly. On the last day it broke, but a couple of hours later it was fixed by the handyman.
Very friendly and helpful staff. There are not so many rooms. It was quiet, there was a relaxed atmosphere. For breakfast there were twelve small tables arranged. I stayed for a week and I would recommend it to others.

TurkeySome suggestions, Although it has not happened to us, your guests coming from outside the European Union may experience problems with mobile phone lines and internet when they arrive in the country. Therefore, it would be more beneficial to send the check-in instructions the day before check-in. We slept with the windows open because it was so hot and we didn't want to sleep with the air conditioning on all night. The result was a lot of mosquito bites. I don't know if it's common in Italy, but it would be a good idea to put mosquito nets on the windows.
The location of the hotel offers you peace, security and centrality at the same time. There are also some important embassy and ministry buildings very close by. In this respect, you can be very comfortable. You can walk to the nearest metro station (Barberini) in 5 min, Termini train station in 18 min, Trevi Fountain in 15 min, Spanish Steps in 17 min, Colosseum in 30 min, Villa Borghese Park in 10 min. There are also many public bus lines that you can easily reach Trastevere with a single vehicle, and you will be 5 minutes walking from any bus stop that will be useful for you. By the way, you can get on these buses without a ticket and pay with a credit card inside. There is a Hard Rock Cafe that you can reach on foot in 5 minutes. There is a place called D'Angelo Cafe in the neighborhood where you can have breakfast with a nice croissant and coffee. Of course, you can also have your breakfast at the hotel. Now let's talk about the hotel itself... I am writing this to avoid confusion, the reception is not open 24/7. They send the Self Check-in instructions via WhatsApp on the day of your arrival, check-in is very easy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is not too big or too small. It has an efficient space. My wife and I stayed for a week - which is considered a long time - on a business visit and we did not feel cramped. The room was really stylishly decorated with its furniture, shuttered windows, ceiling plasterboards and a tidy bathroom. I love Italian craftsmanship! The cleaning was also very good. Both the bathroom, the floors and the linens were spotlessly clean. We really felt like we were in a house. The air conditioning system worked great and it was not a dusty air conditioner like in some hotels. I never had breakfast at the hotel, so I have no idea about it. I requested an invoice to present my company and everything was proper on the paper. Thank you!

SerbiaThe only downside was the air conditioning—it was set to 24°C by default, and would turn on and off every 10 seconds with a noticeable clicking sound. The room reached that temperature very quickly, so it kept cycling constantly, which became a bit distracting at night. I didn’t get a chance to ask the staff if it could be adjusted differently, so perhaps there was a better setting or solution I just didn’t have time to explore.
Our stay in Rome was made all the more special thanks to this beautifully designed accommodation. Tucked away on a quiet street, it’s a rare find—peaceful yet within walking distance of both the Trevi Fountain and Roma Termini. City bus stops are also just around the corner, making it an ideal base for exploring. The room itself felt like stepping into an old-world movie set: high ceilings, rich burgundy drapes with golden details, tasteful wooden furniture, and a spacious marble bathroom that felt like a mini spa. Everything was spotless. The minibar was stocked with thoughtful basics—sparkling and still water, a juice, a beer, gluten-free chips, and peanuts—all reasonably priced at just 1€ per item. Breakfast was a delight: fresh pastries, a great coffee machine, and bottled water, all served in an elegant breakfast room that matched the classic charm of the bedrooms. Though our checkout was early due to a morning flight, the staff made things simple—we were told we could just leave the city tax and minibar payment at reception in case no one was around, which we really appreciated. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but for the location, the quiet, the cleanliness, and the timeless style, it’s absolutely worth it. Would return in a heartbeat.

United KingdomBreakfast was excellent and also there were snacks and drinks available all day which was much appreciated. The room was well equipped, comfortable beds although the pillows were not great for us so maybe pillow choices would be great. Noise could be heard from other guests at times, when they entered the property. The staff did everything they could to alleviate this, notes asking guests to be considerate of other to not let the doors bang etc, but some people unfortunately are oblivious. But all in all a great place to stay for our 3 nights in Rome.
