Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceSanny and his dad have a lovely residence and really made us feel at home! They were very accomodating about everything and had lots of little attentions, and advice about Ischia - they definitely made our stay in Ischia super nice :) The residence is ideally located as it is walking distance from the center of Sant'Angelo and parking is also easy. The breakfast with home made cakes, delicious italian coffee and the view on Sant'Angelo was great! The residence has two lovely thermal pools - the external one is located on the lovely terrace with the view on Sant'Angelo - all in all we had a great time there and would definitely go back! E stato un soggiorno davvero piacevole e rilassante, grazie di tutto!

AustraliaNothing! We only wish we had stayed longer :)
Everything about the stay at Hotel Residence Sant'Angelo was awesome. The hotel has incredible views (especially from the rooftop pool), great facilities and the most uniquely Italian breakfast experience you'll ever have. However, the best part of the stay was the amazing service provided by co-owners, father and son, Giuseppe and Sanny, two of the kindest, most genuine people you're likely to meet. Both went above and beyond to help with any request during our stay. They've got everything covered to make your trip a good one! Highlights include Sanny's tips on places to eat in Sant'Angelo (both Dolce è La Vita and Pizzeria Da Pasquale served delicious food with very friendly staff, even friendlier if you mention you're staying with Sanny) and a great day on a local boat circumnavigating Ischia, swimming and eating great food with Big Toni. Sanny and Giuseppe not only make you feel welcome in their hotel, but welcome among the entire Sant'Angelo community. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel and would make a point of stopping by if I was ever travelling near Ischia in the future. Thanks again Sanny and Giuseppe! Nick and Emily

AustraliaWe were surprised to be informed that we needed to pay extra for air con. We paid 5 euro per day. There was no information in booking.com when booking this. Mosquitoes were apparent but they seemed harmless. The rooms may benefit from some repellant plugs.
Welcome drink was nice. The hosts Giuseppe and Sanni were extremely accommodating with room and recommendations. The host provided a room change on request without charge. Breakfast was fine. Coffees were good. We were granted a late check out which was much appreciated. There is a beach within 5 mins walk or the town and town beach 10 mins walk. There is a fresh juice stand on the way which was superb.

ItalyThat we couldn’t stay longer!
The staff Giuseppe and his son Sanny were exceptional from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They kindly offered us an upgraded room because it was available. They offered us expert advice throughout our stay about things to do and places to eat and drink on the island. We also loved the indoor and outdoor pools and the location of the hotel was perfect close to the town of S. Angelo and also with bud stop and beach on our doorstep. The breakfast every morning was also delicious and always filling. We loved everything about our stay.

Sanny and Pepe were delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome. They were always keen to help us find restaurants and advise us about what to see. The breakfasts were very good and the pool on the rooftop lovely. it is a downhill 10 minute walk into town but we enjoyed the walk even uphill coming home to relax after dinner. There is a lovely beach downstairs from the accommodation which is much nicer than the town beach and the beds are cheaper than down town.

United KingdomWe had an amazing 5 night stay at this lovely hotel in the Beautiful town of Sant Angelo! The hotel was very peaceful and with the rooms were lovely and clean with a super comfy bed. This hotel is family run and during our stay we felt like it was our own family we were staying with. Sanny and his Dad Pepe, we’re brilliant! On the first night we arrived we sat and had a nice bottle of local wine in the hotel restaurant with panoramic views over the bay. Pepe made us some bruschetta with tomatoes grown in his garden. They have 2 lovely pools (one a Jacuzzi hydro pool inside) that are both heated with hot water pumped up from a thermal spring, we spent hours in them and just needed to ask Sanny or Pepe and he would top them up with hot water. The minerals in the water are great for the skin and we spent hours, morning and evening relaxing in them. 10min walk downhill and your into a lovely little fishing village, with small shops and restaurants and a nice little church when you walk up through the village. If you take a 5min walk uphill from the hotel you’ll find a lovely family run restaurant, very welcoming with amazing food and delicious Pizza. Take a 5min walk down the small path at the side of the hotel and you suddenly find yourself on the most amazing small private beach. Huge credit to the host for their recommendations, hospitality and even finding medication for my partner who had some dental pain. Will definitely return again in the future

Czech RepublicThe hotel is outdated and deserves renovation. Our room was near road and pretty noisy. Someone who watered garden in the morning watered also all our shirts and trousers at the balcony.
The hotel pool has thermal water source with really hot water and that was great experience. Our kids loved it. And what more, Guiseppe brought us a bottle of prosecco to the pool in the evening so we had a bath and drink evening. That was unbeatable. Guiseppe is extremely helpful and nice guy.

United States of AmericaLike most charming seaside /port towns, there are stairs. To hotel, beaches, pools, cafes, shopping. Sidewalks can go from very broad to narrow. No lifts, few curb cuts. Manageable for me at 60+ coz there are usually rails and folks are incredibly helpful when asked. Allocate extra time and energy. Well worth it. Wifi is always weaker in old stone buildings. Lobby, roof, balcony areas have great signal but in room is predictably weaker, intermittent. Still great for vacay but be aware for remote work.
A welcome place of peace and beauty on a sometimes crazy planet. Beautiful old world meets new family owned hotel. Felt like staying with old, dear friends. Spent a week just soaking in the warmth, kindness and joy of living. The thermal pool...ahhhhhh.... serene, clean, warm .....great for body and skin... and deep sleep! I usually loathe continental breakfasts but this was a major step up. Generous, delicious and fresh made breakfast breads , crispy fruits, even home grown tomatoes eggs every day. Yum! Rooms are big, super clean, soooo comfortable. I had a balcony with side view of ocean so got the sea air and lots of space to work or hang out. The bed was 8 out of 10 comfortable. Firm but not tortuous. Pillows actually still fluffy --- rare and most welcome. Basic toiletries, towels etc. Shower is European setup --- compact with slider. Wondrously hot water. Kitchenette, lots of closet space. Rooftop has pool, sun chairs, tables, hammocks, umbrellas, shade, exquisite views. Great spot to fully relax, recover, dream. Location is on the blessedly quiet side of Ischia, adorable Port Sant Angelo. Warm sand beaches in sparkling water coves across the road. Several thermal baths and full out spas very close by. Restaurants in walking distance. Bus stops both in front of hotel and nearby. About 30-45 min by bus from ferry and port for 2 Euro. . Taxi is around 45 Euro, bring cash. The season closes early November and shops, cafes, spas close down. Was here last week of Oct. Utterly enchanted. Next time, I will come back earlier and stay longer!

We loved the swimming pool, the location (close to the beach and to the village), and the room we were given. The owners are really nice, they make you use the thermal outside pool even at night!

CanadaAbsolutely loved this place! It was an amazing location close to beautiful beaches and scenery. We rented a car since we only stayed one day as it was a last minute trip we took from Napoli. There was a parking lot a two minute walk from the hotel which was very convenient (there is not a lot of easy access parking in general on the island) The only mistake we made was not staying longer! The staff were amazing, warm and welcoming. This place knows true hospitality. The people at this place made our stay truly memorable and even offered to take a picture of my fiancé and I with the beautiful seascape in the background and it’s one of my favorite photos we have from our entire trip to Italy. Highly recommend to stay at this wonderful place!
