Very poor signage / directions to facility most confusing, parking very poor. Just taxi to auxiliary parking 2km away not a satisfactory solution. Lack of signs and arrows near facility was nerve wracking. Score only a #2 at best.

A fantastic genuine cave location right in the centre of Matera. Well designed and looked after and clearly a family who care hugely about their hotel. Excellent breakfast too

Airconditioning didn't work and no one offered to check when we said it wasn't working! Bathroom leaked water everywhere so after a shower it was wet the rest of the day you needed to lay down towels. The rooms need some fixing and they would then be fantastic.

Breakfasts and dinners were amazing. Staff are friendly and warm. Location is spectacular.

The cave was very spacious will facilitates, although there was moldy smell in the room. Checked the rock walls they were dry. When we got home we had to wash all our cloths, they smelt of the room. Lucky we had little clothes as we stayed one night only.

I probably didn't read the detail in the correspondence re parking, but trying to find the accommodation and the park and ride shuttle in 40 degrees of heat was a stressful experience.

Location was amazing. Matera is the most amazing city in Puglia and this place is right in the heart of it. Matera is unique, unlike anywhere else we'd ever been and exceeded our expectations. Despite language barriers, staff were very friendly. Sleeping in a cave was also a unique experience.

There was no window in our room. The room was little bit noisy because of electronic devices in the room.

The heater and the dehumidifier in the room were too loud and too hot. We didn't know how to turn down the heater and considering it was late, didn't want to disturb the staff. So we had trouble sleeping. Since we were up, we wanted to prepare some coffee in the fully furnished kitchen, but the igniter on the stove top didn't work. So we waited for the restaurant to open to have some coffee. .

Amazing location and spectacular view. Staff was very nice and helpful both with a late check-in and parking. Breakfast was varied and abundant. The room was very big and typical of the location's cave homes. Really enjoyed the warm towels in the bathroom and the shower pressure 😊.

Even though it is close to the edge of the Sassi, there is walking on steps and eneven surfaces required to get to it. Some may not like the room configurations, definitely not standardized.

Location close to upper edge of Sassi and there was a nice view part of the Sasso Briseno, including the Duomo. Unusual room configurations within caves may be attractive for some. Befs wete comfortable and rooms have small kitchens. The owner Vicenzo was very helpful, although he does not speak English. He picked us up frim the bus stop and brought us closer to the property than a taxi would, he arranged for a van to drive 4 of us and luggage to Bari Airport, and he printed boarding passes for us.

The parking is very far from the hotel so it would be better if u park at a closer location. It's a cave room so it gets a little bit more humidity than the outside.

A unique stay. The owner was very accommodating and made sure we had what we needed. Also helped with transport when the cab I hailed cancelled on me.

No air conditioning in the cave. There is no free parking! If you come in the evening it is really hard to get a parking space, except for the garage (1.5€ per hour), 500 m from the residence.
