Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The place is owned by the family since six generations! You feel and see the history everywhere. Beautiful view from the room and roof terrace. Located in the heart of Todi. The hospitality of the owners is amazing. I have got owners ticket for the free parking next to the cathedral stairs! Comfy bed and good breakfast!

The welcome was warmest, we were able to have access to our room hours before the official check-in time and the hostess took all the time to tell us about the impressive building in which the hotel is located and to give us excellent tips regarding what places to visit and where to find good food and drinks (and ice-cream!) in Todi. On top of this, breakfast could be served half an hour earlier than usual at our request. All most enjoyable.

PortugalAuthentic palazzo in the historic center of a surprising little town, lots of cultural activities and art for the senses and amazing food. Chiara the owner is the most knowledgeable, open, friendly person you will meet in Italy. She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is memorable with great restaurant recommendations, Osteria Valle not to be missed and even booking tickets for the Opera in the local community theatre. Don’t hesitate to book here if you are looking for authenticity & connection.

Chiara went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasurable stay. She lent us her iPad to watch a Netflix show, brought in an extra chair to our room, recommended excellent day trips, put aside a special breakfast to go when we had an early departure, shared local tips about Todi and welcomed us enthusiastically and proudly shared her historic family home. San Lorenzo Tre is a beautiful building with lovely furnishings and artwork. It is right in the center of town. The breakfast room is magnificent and and the breakfast was first rate. Todi is a delightful hill town full of good restaurants and pretty churches. Parking is easy at the bottom of the hill outside the town. There is a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes between the parking and the center. It's also a beautiful walk. I highly recommend staying here if you find your self in Todi.

AustraliaIt was all fabulous.
Firstly, the best part was meeting Chiara and being welcomed into her family’s home. The breakfast was so delicious and displayed so beautifully in a room to match. Chiara helped us with things to do and even made reservations for us. We really enjoyed her roof top terrace, such a wonderful spot to enjoy the view especially at night. We really felt welcomed into her home.

The residence is perfectly located in one of the most charming towns in Umbria, in an alley next to the main square, with a beautiful (small) terrace on top overlooking the valley and part of the old town on one side and the cathedral on the other. The hospitality of the owners is unparalleled; when we arrived by bike, which is a pretty grueling ascend into Todi, we were immediately offered a beer on the house! The palazzo 'breathes' history, family history in particular with old paintings, photos, furniture of the family apparently owning the place already in the 7th generation. A very extensive, delicious breakfast is served in a kind of central salon, where you may be sharing the table with other guests from anywhere in the world (our table partners arrived from New Zealand). Highly recommended (residence, family & team, town, area, ...)!

United StatesTodi is simply a gorgeous town! The B&B location was perfect, right by the Cathedral. We were able to observe an evening procession in the cathedral square. The breakfast was great and in a charming setting. There were good restaurants in easy walking distance. The staff could not have been nicer. Indeed, when my wife got stomach pains of such a severity late at night that a near midnight doctor's visit was arranged by the kind owner, Chiara. Because she was in considerable pain the doctor in turn arranged for an ambulance to take my wife to the hospital in Perugia where she got multiple tests and truly excellent care . Luckily, the finding was that it was only indigestion caused by a constipating diet and she got better on her own after 8 hours in the hospital; with them keeping her in for another 3 hours to make sure she was OK. But we remain forever indebted to Chiara for her care!! The only issue in the B&B was the absence of an elevator, but that is typical in B&Bs in old beautiful buildings.

SwedenThe room was poorly soundproofed, but it might have to do with the old building.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Residenza D'Epoca San Lorenzo Tre in Todi, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Our hostess, Chiara, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction during our visit. Her warmth and helpfulness truly made a difference, as she provided us with valuable information about the city of Todi and even assisted us in booking reservations at local restaurants. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a mere 20 meters from the main square, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city's attractions. The breakfast offered was exceptional, with a vast variety of delicious options to choose from, ensuring a great start to our day. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Residenza D'Epoca San Lorenzo Tre for anyone visiting Todi. With its excellent location, delightful hostess, and delicious breakfast offerings, this hotel is sure to provide a memorable and enjoyable stay.
