The bathroom doesn’t have a window or ventilation so sometimes it gets a bit moist.

It’s unbelievable clean! They clean and tidy my room and bathroom everyday and change my towels every two days. The owner is super friendly and helpful, giving me so much great information of Firenze including transportation, restaurants and museums/churches.

(continued from above) My room was called “Singola” I believe. Everything I needed was in the room- a window, a comfortable bed, a desk, a minifridge, a place to hang my clothes, and a luggage rack, and many plugs and sufficient light. The temperature in the room was perfect. The actual room you sleep in is opened and closed with an actual key. I have travelled a lot, and personally, I like rooms that have ACTUAL keys, I feel safer in rooms with keys. Also, I like the fact that there is no key card that needs to go in a slot to control the electricity in the room, like other hotel rooms. For the singola room, it is important to note that the bathroom is NOT in your bedroom, like most hotel rooms. The bathroom is 10 footsteps away from your bedroom. When you open your bedroom door, you will walk towards the right, and see a bathroom that has a sign on it, indicating that it is your bathroom. Also, that bathroom is locked, and only opens up with the bedroom key that you have. That is good, the bathroom is secure, and only you can use it. The bathroom has a toilet, stand up shower, great hot water, a sink, trash can, and hair dryer. The bathroom has what you need. As a single woman travelling alone, I felt completely safe in this establishment. First, I was kind of scared that I had to walk out of my bedroom to use the bathroom, but it was fine. I felt safe, and even more safe because the place is equipped with security cameras, which WORK, in the common area, so that made me feel safe. The only time I ever saw other guests was when I was checking out- and I was there for 2 nights! ** And there was an IRON!! This never happens in Italian hotels, how fantastic!!** You must realize that you are RIGHT in front of the Central Market, so in the morning you will hear the market men setting up. I thought it was neat and exciting. It made the trip more fun! I will definitely stay here again in the future.

I recently stayed at the Residenza Martin in Florence, Italy from February 16, 2024 to February 18,2024. I stayed there for two nights. I have visited Florence many times, but this was my first time staying in this part of town. This hotel is very easy to get to. When you exit the Train Station (Firenze S.M. Novella), look for the McDonalds across the street. Walk towards that McDonalds, and let the McD be towards your left. you will then make a left and walk straight. You will walk a little bit and then you will see your street on the right. Your street will have the market on it, you will see vendors on the street, selling bags and more, this is the only street you will see like this. When you make the right on this street, this hotel is on the RIGHT side of the street. When you book the hotel, and fill out the personal information that they require, they will send you the details that you need to enter the MAIN door, the hotel door, and your bedroom. There is no front desk, and it is not needed. After you enter the main door, you will walk up a few steps immediately, and the hotel/residence door is on the right. You will use a code to get the door to open. When the door open, you will be in an apartment style place, with a kitchen, living room, and locked rooms. The various rooms are used for guests, just like you are a guest. There are at least 3 rooms, and maybe even more, I did not walk through the whole place. My room was called “Singola” I believe. The hotel is in the centre, all the sights are nearby. The room was cozy. I had the room with separate bathroom, but it was organized very comfortable. There is a small kitchen with all you need. There are supermarkets near the hotel. Maybe as a small discomfort there is a street market, and the sellers start to prepare their stands early morning. But the hotel has nothing to do with it. I liked this hotel and I recommend to stay here.

A very comfortable and cozy place to stay in central Florence. The kitchen is stocked with basic items, such as, tea, coffee, sugar, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, etc. The property has good security measures in place. All main attractions are within a few minutes walking distance. The property is close to numerous restaurants.

Could not believe we could walk straight out into the markets. A nice little apartment, with everything we needed. The kitchen was a little small and shared but we made do.

Very clean and GREAT location !!! Comfortable beds and easy instructions to follow for entry/exit. Wonderfully updated rooms. AC works great for the hot days. One flight of stairs so very easy to get in and out of the flat.

The location was near the Central Market - perfect for a variety of foods. The room had high ceilings and windows to the street that, when closed, made the space very quiet. Bathroom was new tile and very modern and functional. Kitchen was available and recently re-done, but we ate out all the time to enjoy the Firenze food. This is a great property in a great location - we had the Superior room and it was very spacious - much larger than normal European rooms. Veronica is lovely, there every day to help. We would stay again for sure - and Florence has so much to see and do.

The only small thing I would recommend to the owner is to replace the scraped pans and let guests know that you should not mix Teflon with a metal spoon. But I understand that is a hard thing to do :D

The Location is what is the most important thing for me as my legs aren't the greatest since I was born, The fact that is 5 minutes to the train station and 5 minutes to see the Dome... That is just perfect. The surrounding area is full of small restaurants and shops and it's a really lively neighborhood. I really liked the kitchen next to a mega balcony where you could eat outside. There is a small fridge in the room. So it's totally viable to cook for yourself while you are there.!! The Classic room seems to be the most quiet as it is not above the busy market street below. The host was super friendly and really helpful.

10 min walk from train station. Very well located. Very clean. Great little terrasse. A lot of restaurants nearby. Right across the Mercato Centrale, a must do for a drink and eat. Great communication with host.

My window faced the road which had all the leather stalls. It was very noisy late at night when they were packing up, and also early morning when they were setting up. Apart from that, my room was brilliant!

The location was perfect, and it was walking distance to the Uffizi and Academia galleries, which was the main purpose of my trip. I also loved being across the road from the Mercato Centrale.

I didn’t have an en suite bathroom but my host explained why and a separate private bathroom was provided.

It was in a great location. close to shops and tourist spots. The security of the property was excellent as well. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. I had a small fridge in my room which was really handy.

The room was quiet (you could not hear much noise from the streets), but you could hear everything from the hallway so if the people in other rooms are noisy it can be annoying.

The room was great and it was cleaned every day. The location is good and the price was ok. Overall I believe it is a great choice.

Very convenient location. All facilities worked well. There is a shared balcony which was a real bonus plus a shared kitchen with a good variety of equipment. The check in was easy and very flexible and the staff were very friendly.
