Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe accommodations were very clean and nice, and the location at the top of the Spanish steps was perfect! The subway and taxi center were conveniently located just steps away from the property.

United StatesJust an fyi, there is no 24 hour front desk attendant. Honestly, this is very common and not usually a problem for most people. For us, because our phones had no WiFi, it can sometimes lead to difficulties entering but it all worked out luckily. I will say, the manager was beyond excellent in communication, the problem was all on our end, not being able to receive his messages until we were in our room and on WiFi.
Completely gorgeous room and dining area, with location to just swoon over at the top of the Spanish steps! Even a view outside of our window! Really breathtaking and made you feel like you were in Rome!

AustraliaThere are two major things we loved about this accommodation. The first was the view, incredible views of Rome from the breakfast area. It was amazing. The last was the location. Absolutely perfect for navigating around Rome. We walked everywhere and our room was very central. Literally located on top of the Spanish steps, about 10mins from the Trevi fountain and then a 30-45 min walk to the Vatican, the Colosseum and Trastevere. Would 100% recommend this for our family and friends if they travel to Rome in the future.

United StatesOur stay at Ricciardelli Luxury Studios - Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps) was wonderful! The location was perfect—right near the iconic Spanish Steps. Before our trip, we had heard concerns about the area attracting homeless individuals, but we found that information to be completely untrue. The location was beautiful, clean, and lively. Plus, the view of Rome from our room was unexpectedly lovely and expansive. What made our stay even more special was Giancarlo Ricciardelli, the property owner, who personally made it a point to meet and welcome us—a thoughtful touch. As a civil engineer by trade, Giancarlo clearly understands design and quality, and it shows in every corner of this property. The designer he hired has considered the fine details, making the space not only luxurious but also very comfortable. The included breakfast was fantastic, and the server enthusiastically and graciously attended to us. The breakfast nook also offered a stunning view of the city, which made each morning feel extra special. If you’re looking for the perfect stay in Rome in the best location, Ricciardelli Luxury Studios is where you want to be.

AustraliaBreakfast a little under-whelming for the price. Semi noisy, quite a busy building and plenty of street noise (albeit this is part of the allure to being in a main part of the town).
Fantastic location. Room nicely appointed, bathroom was very nice. Giancarlo very attentive and available when needed via WhatsApp. Nice views of the city from the foyer (being the foyer to the rooms - only a small handful of rooms at the suites).

New ZealandNothing except the lift broke down on the last few days and it was quite a climb at the end of a busy day sight seeing. It was a good workout going up those gorgeous marble stairs!
The great location- right at the top of the Spanish Steps. An elegant Roman apartment for us to enjoy! It very quickly became our own little apartment- excellent comfortable bed and storage. TV ( an English speaking TV channel might be good…? But really Rome too exciting to be TV watching! Excellent shower and bathroom, lovely toiletries, plenty of towels. It was very quiet at night- surprising given the very central location. Appreciated the air con with some very hot(38 c) Rome weather! We would recommend it and stay again!

United StatesThe hotel is next to the Spanish Steps which is a superb location. The room was beautifully appointed and exceptionally neat and clean. The bathroom was luxurious. Each morning a breakfast was awaiting us that was delicious. The hotel is quite small and very quiet. After being in the middle of many tourists everywhere we went, it was wonderful to get away from it all. I highly recommend this hotel!
