Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was fine. Could do with reading lamps - I was sharing a twin with my student son, & light was either on or off.

The internet connection was intermittent, and i was unable to get the air conditioner to work.
For one person the room was perfect size and very clean. The central location was ideal for sightseeing, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious

Not a big deal for me, but water pressure in bathroom was a little disappointing.
The location and staff was amazing. They were helpful with everything I needed. I stayed in one-person room, it was small but had everything I needed. There were many female solo travelers in the Hotel which confirmed my feeling of safety. The breakfast was above my expectations as well.

The room was basic, not many working plug sockets. I couldn’t get the AC to work so it was very warm. It was really noisy outside so being earplugs. The smoke alarm in my room kept flashing which was irritating but not a huge deal. The shower was good but the bathroom had a weird smell. All being said I would stay here again
It was fine. The location was not even 1 minute away from the Duomo so that was excellent. The room was clean enough and I thought the bed was pretty comfy. The staff were great, I had to leave early for my flight and the receptionist (a man unfortunately I don’t remember his name!) made me a coffee and told me to take something from the breakfast bar to go, an hour before breakfast was even due to start! Lovely staff and very kind, also prime location

The noise of the tram that passes in front of the hotel, but that comes with the location in the very center. At first, the room looked terrible because it is old, but everything was clean and functional, so I got used to it over time. It has real Italian charm. 😀
Location is perfect. Breakfast are great for 3* hotel.

Though I booked with breakfast but due to change of plans I asked property, during my check-in before payment,to exclude the breakfast from my booking but they refused. They could have easily facilitated me in this regard as I asked even before check in
Overall, we had a nice stay. Location was perfect, right infront od Duomo.

Rooms fairly basic and compact but adequate and still good value for money right in the centre of Milan.
Excellent location. Excellent staff - especially the reception staff. Excellent breakfast. By the way, our stay was from 19 - 23 February not 18 - 22 February as you have written so please correct this. The transport which was due to take us from the hotel to the airport (booked through Booking.com) failed to arrive but, thanks to the reception staff, alternative transport was arranged and we were able to arrive in time for our flight.

The windows aren't sound proof and the hotel is right next to a tram line so there's constant noise of the trams till late
Absolutely amazing location, walk a few metres and you are in front of the Duomo Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms Right outside the tram stop so easy connectivity everywhere

The location was fabulous! Right across the street from Duomo and really easy walk from the Metro. Staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and breakfast was great!

Given it's central location next to the Duomo, there was a lot of noise coming from the street. The hotel staff kindly agreed to switch my room to a quieter one that wasn't overlooking the street.
The hotel is in a VERY central location, a minute-walk from the Duomo. Good breakfast!
