Beautiful location but lacks of 4 star hotel services

Personnel, building requires renovation in some areas and maintenance due to humidity in rooms, furniture can be improved. Service of a 3 star hotel incl. breakfast. With some improvements the hotel could easily improve its reputation and charge more.

Location, beautiful architecture and courtyard, art exhibition inside.

Our air conditioner did not work very well.

The hotel was very peaceful and the bed was comfortable. It was a beautiful historic hotel and the staff was very accommodating. They also had a elevator which was very nice.

As in a lot of city centers not accessible by car. We couldn't get access to the WiFi. There is an annoying sound in rooms on the third floor. Breakfast was just enough, probably the Italien way.

The building is beautiful located. Staff is friendly.

    Miserable rip-off
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Standard Single Room

It was a pretty miserable experience--the air conditioning did not work properly and I sweated all night, there was no hot water, the WIFI didn't work, and the room was very dark because all but one of the light bulbs were burned out. I complained about the conditions and they emphatically indicated everything was working properly. As a result I decided to check out a day early. They refused to reimburse me for the night I didn't stay with >24 hours notice. They blamed the no-refund on booking.com--said it was against your policy. So, I paid more than 450 euros for three horrible nights. Overall, I'll not stay there again and won't use booking .com ever again.

    The building was interesting...

Bedroom was dated with furniture in disrepair, poor air con, old TV on top of the wardrobe and 6 out of 10 for cleanliness. Bed was like a brick. Breakfast was very basic.

Location and atmosphere were excellent in this very ancient building overlooking the sea.

    Book somewhere else in Giovinazzo.

    Parking is very difficult.

We stayed here 5 years ago, and everything has changed for the worse. Rooms are dated, showers are old, lights do not work properly, and the WI-FI almost never worked. Breakfast was terrible. On our last visit the breakfast was upstairs in a large comfortable setting with plenty of options. It is now off the lobby with 4 tables. We visit family in Giovinazzo, but will not stay here again.

It was very difficult to find out the exact parking situation. There is no car access to hotel entrance which is found along path with high wall to sea about 50 meters from road.

This was an interesting place to stay. There were many artworks to view and some interesting books about the area. There were a number of places to sit and relax both inside and outside. It was very peaceful and we could see the sea from our room.

Strange that you must have a cell phone to get a password to access wifi. Difficult to get to and parking nearby is almost impossible. The standard room has perhaps the smallest possible shower cubicle in existence. Generally had a very 'run-down atmosphere - poor lighting, dusty, roof terrace closed and perhaps the only hotel we've visited where a hand written receipt was provided.

Reasonable size room but not much more to add than that.
