    Nothing!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good with plenty to eat. The shower was the best. The location to San Gimignano was perfect and easy to access. It is located about 5-10 minuets from the center of town.

Bathroom space very restricted and the shower was weak. Hotel was further from the centre of San Gimignano than we expected, though a brisk 15 minute walk along a lit pavement was all that was required.

Very convenient hotel for a driving tour. Very helpful owners. Swimming pool/ room view/ parking.

The property is located in the entrance of San Gimignano, if you come by car it's quite convenient cause you can park the car in the hotel for free. The view from there is amazing. During the summer the weather is super hot so, the fact that the hotel has a pool is very good cause you can relax and cool down there. The breakfast is simple but good enough (bread, ham, cheese, coffee, cereals, etc). The staff of the hotel is friendly. It is a small hotel but it has restaurant and bar with good prices (much cheaper than in the center). From the hotel to the center you need to walk around 15 min, it's ok but if it's too warm and you come with kids, this could be challenging. Overall we had a great stay there and we highly recommend it for people traveling by car.

There is no possibility for lunch or dinner. You must go in the city (San Giminiagno).

The swimming pool is perfect after one day trip around. Also the outside terrace covered. The staff is extremely friendly.

Location is a little out of town, so walking the hills is necessary. With my older mother with us it was a bit tough. There is no on site restaurant, only a breakfast bar.

Beautiful views and a great breakfast. The pool overlooks the Tuscan hills and all rooms have air conditioning. My mother couldn't stop taking photos. You can opt for a room with a view, very relaxing.

Hotel San Michele is a nice and cozy, Tuscan looking family run hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well located, just at the entrance in San Gemigniano and had private parking. The room had a wonderful view over the Tuscany vine hills. The hosts are nice and friendly. The breakfast was really delicious and plentiful. The room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this place!

    - rooms are not really soundproof, but we spent more time outside anyway - AC a bit noisy as it needed to go full power in order to be able to cool the room

We spent 4 nights at this hotel, and it was the highlight of our trip. Although at the beginning we thought that it would be hard to reach, just with the map and by walking we easily reached the hotel in less than 20 min from the town. The room was superior, with hills view, and we really enjoyed this aspect. Even if the room is quite small, it was perfect for us as a couple, very romantic. I really appreciated the cleanliness in the room, every day, just spotless. We spent a lot of time at the pool area, and it was so nice..liked that the atmosphere was really relaxing and not crowded at all. The breakfast was good, I appreciated that everyday there were new types of food, and really tasty. I believe that it was a very good location for us, for our honeymoon, to relax and enjoy the Tuscan hills and the relaxed atmosphere.

Great location with 15minute walk along the pavement to the beautiful town; any further out and you will be walking on the road! Comfortable room, interesting breakfast with home made extras each day. Staff helpful and provided cutlery etc for picnic in the garden which has wonderful views. Perfect place for pre dinner drink before walking into town for dinner. We toured the area over our 5 day stay and were delighted to return to this little haven each afternoon as the pool and garden were so beautiful. Very happy to recommend this if you want a peaceful hotel with good facilities in a stunning location.

The owner was rude. Not willing to give any advice on tours and sights in the town. Everything we asked her to do was a chore. Made us sit outside in the cold/rain to eat our dinner we had to purchase elsewhere as they don't have a restaurant. It's a shame because the place would be perfect under the right management.

Great location. Access to local bus at doorstep or 15-20mins walk into town. Nice breakfast.

Perfect hotel in a great location! We used it as a base for visiting San Gimignamo, Siena, Florencia and the Tuscan countryside. We chose to upgrade to a room with a view and it was spectacular. We especially enjoyed the breakfast that was available as early as 7:45 so we could get an early start on our day. Private parking was a luxury and it was possible to walk to the center of town or take a city bus that stopped very near the hotel. Paola and Roberta were always available and very attentive to even the smallest detail. I highly recommend the hotel!
