A bit late check-in time and the breakfast was rather conservatively continental. Apart from that we enjoyed the experience immensely.

We had a fantastic experience at Sarah yacht! The captain’s room looks exactly like on the photos, gets crisp-clean linens and amazing view onto Venice bay, not to mention a direct access to the top deck right from the room and a separate private WC. The boat is moored at Guidecca, a calm and neighborly island away from touristic madness of Venice, with interesting historic background and very much recomended for exploration! The water transport station is few steps away, which is very convenient (get yourself a 24 or 48 hour ticket at your first ride - it’ll save you much in Venice). We were glued to the window starring at water and passing cruise boats most of the hours. Being on a yacht in Venice was extremely exciting, even spoiling, and yet felt true to the city. It also proved to be a good choice financially, considering that breakfast is provided.

While the bathrooms wreaked of mold, and the ceiling leaked into our bed, causing us to switch rooms, the part if staying here that ruined it for us was the staff. There was one you don't woman who at least smiled and was kind while she was being unhelpful. But the others, especially the captain and first mate were rude, mean, and they had a complete disregard for customer service. We stayed two nights and the first morning we woke up and they had a sign posted saying the boat we were staying on (there are two) would be leaving until midnight that night and that they had to move our rooms again. When we got back after a day of touring around 8pm, the boat they moved us to had no AC. Being that it was August the heat and humidity was unbearable to sleep in, not to mention the bugs biting, and the fact that they took all the deck chairs and tables along to the day cruise boat, it was extremely uncomfortable for the next 4 hours trying to wait for they came back to see if we could have AC to sleep. (There's not much else on the island) When they arrived they avoided us for another 45 min. Then laughed in our faces when we suggested a refund since we had to leave at 4am and it was 1am before we could talk to them. The captain told us we could only be refunded through booking, which isn't really possible, and then as we were trying to ask how to do that he grabbed his bags and said he was going home, and left. Absolutely rude.

They offer a small breakfast. The coffee was not great, but doable if you drench it in milk and sugar the way I do.

The Wi-Fi was quite poor, there were no plug sockets in the rooms, and the bathroom is very small and is a wet room without a separate shower stall which were not things we were expecting. Also, the boat is docked on another island so you must have a ticket for the waterboat everyday to get to the main land which is very pricy. The sizes of the rooms seem to vary quite a lot so booking a larger room would be recommended.

Overall it is a novelty experience and is fun for a night as long as you don't get seasickness, but perhaps not for longer stays unless you really enjoy boats. The staff are nice and so is the breakfast.

Superbly quirky yacht setting overlooking the Venice shy line 3 min walk from the sacca fusola waterbus stop which took you to anywhere in the city... breakfast was great continental style with plenty food fruit tea and coffee... and you could sit on deck any time drinking wine and chilling... We had a tiny room, which did not look like the picture on the site at all! I was under the impression that we booked on the Sarah Sun, which looks good, but we were accommodated on the "sister ship"... Super small bed - which would probably be suitable for a small child or a cat, but not for two adults - with only one very thin blanket. All night long, the people who stayed above us - presumably staff? were walking around. The cold coupled with the sound of clomping horses, made it impossible to get any sleep. The bathroom was about 1 sq meter, with a hand shower to be used as shower. This was the most expensive accommodation we booked on our entire trip, and by far the worst.

Once you're on the island there are not many choices for restaurants etc. We did find one lovely restaurant (can't remember name). Not too much of an issue though as you can easily jump on the boat back to the main island. The surrounding residential area near the boat is a bit run down. But can't fault the accommodation.

Fantastic experience. The staff were very helpful. The drink prices on board are very reasonable. Nice to get away from the crowds in Venice. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Breakfast was lovely

The toilet facilities take a little getting used to, and the room is of course very small - perfect for a day or two but not ideal for a long stay.

Sophie was a delight and looked after us fantastically. Best memory of Venice was sitting on the roof of the yatch sipping sundowners and snacking on delicious olives, watching the lights come on over Venice and the boats go past. Catching a water taxi into Venice took 10 minutes and was fun - they run all day and night. Was nice to be in bustling Venice then retreat to our cosy yatch.

Room wasn't very secure as our door wasn't lockable as it was a hatch from a very steep staircase. The staff told me I could lock the door leading into the breakfast area at night but they opened it very early in the morning so very little privacy for using the bathroom. The toilet door knob was hanging off and the wood around the door frame was broken. The bathroom was very dated. Staff played loud music until midnight.

    - no possible check-in before 16:00. If you arrive in town early, you cannot leave your luggage and go visit the city. Or actually yes, you can, but you have to pay a fee of 15 EUR extra for early check-in. - the shower takes several minutes to get warm, then you have very cold water for a few seconds every 30 seconds. Very bad surprise. - if you are the only guests on the ship, you will have no breakfast: the girl knocked on our door at 23:00 (we were already in bed...) to tell us that "due to a technical problem", we wouldn't be able to have the breakfast served the morning after. She reimbursed 10 EUR, 5 EUR per person, which is ridiculouslw low. I was too tired to argue. - no internet, no wifi, because the connection was down. The reason was that it happens often, because they're on an island and the maintenance is not easy. - bed sheets and towels will not be changed. - no hooks to hang and dry the towels - the cabin is very dusty, there is no clean place where you can put you clothes. - the coat rack is humid, we advise to keep the door open As a summary, it is a ship, therefore no high comfort was expected anyway, but for nearly 120 EUR per room, we expected much better service.

Mind the fact that it's a yacht, so expect occasional rocking, strange manual operating vacuum toilet and low pressure in showers.

One of the most curious options i've seen so far. Those are two actual motor yachts moored near Giudecca island. It's a beautiful stay with nice staff. Two yachts are pretty and clean, with nice wooden decorations in rooms. In my case there was a great view towards the Giudecca Canal. The breakfast was nice, and wi-fi connection was stable even in the room. The location is good, it's very close to a vaporetto stop (just note that there aren't any options for buying a ticket nearby, so have one ready before) with services to both S.Marco and P.Rome, and it's also a good starting point for walking across Giudecca. Overall, heavily recommended for sea-lovers.

I do not think its value for money. its only ok if you are just looking for a place to sleep. we had a room with a private bathroom but the bathroom was weird..it was a wetroom which was wet and never dried up for the 2 days we stayed. after taking shower the room felt stuffed. you cannot flush the toilet paper down the toilet which I understand could be an issue on a boat but even the toilet bins were not emptied for the 2 days we stayed as there is no house keeping. Me and my husband just wanted to get out off the place! basically I wouldn't call it a hotel, but more of hostel like facilities. we reached very late as our flight was in the night but I had already informed the hotel both by call and via booking.com and was told that late checkin charges will be 15 euros. but when we were checking in we were told that its 30 euros per person and some unbelievable concept of 5 euros per hour for every hour you are late. Luckily we had a mail where it was explicitly stated that the charge was 15 euros overall and eventually they agreed but it was not nice I would not recommend this place unless you are on a really tight budget (for venice).

Dear Sir or Madam, I have just returned from Venice, & feel I must write to you to complain about my booking at Sarah Sun Island. I was Shocked on arrival at the mode of entry to the boat. This was nothing more than a narrow gang plank followed by a second even narrower steep sloping plank with nothing more than a very low thin rope rail. Lesser aided people would really have struggled to board the boat. The "superior" room I had booked looked "dated" and smelled strongly of damp. My main concern was regarding the air conditioning - or rather lack of it. Air con on low setting was very insufficient, but on the high setting extremely noisy. My wife and I were Unable to sleep for 2 nights as we were either too hot & sweaty or the air con too noisy. I have a recording of the persistent noise the air con caused which was coming from directly beneath the mattress.. Upon checking, the Mattress was very dirty underneath I Brought air con to attention of 3 staff members during our stay and was promised after our first night of very little sleep that it would be repaired that same day. We left the boat for the afternoon and upon our return in late evening, we were advised they had not made any repairs as they could not find their spare room key. We stated we could not sleep in the room, but they could not offer any alternative accommodation as they were in fact full. Loss of the key also meant no room cleaning had taken place. I felt sorry for the young lady who worked on the boat as she was polite and helpful, but could only report matters to the owners. Nevertheless, a staff member did look at the air con unit that evening and fitted tie wrap to the outlet air hose which was not even attached to its mount. Whilst this slightly improved the blown air, it made absolutely no difference to extreme noise - which incidentally, he made no attempt to even look at.

Very disappointed! As we did our 2 day Venice trip and were washed and ready at 7:30am as breakfast was served between 7:30am and 9am. We would have time then to be able to set off at 8am to get off to our next destination, Rome. Mum left the cabin and closed the door. She came back and couldn't open the door! Nope not locked! Stuck!! We were on time re our schedule, so mum nipped up to ask the lady Still not prepared breakfast at now 7:45? Please help my daughter is stuck in the cabin! On her phone chatting away? Her reply, I can't be sorting you out now, I have breakfast to get ready! Mums reply" My daughter is locked in a cabin, your door is jammed and we have a train so please do something! She went off and left my mum to now panic! Short story! Mum had to go through a spare cabin were we found had a Brocken opening welcoming all into our cabin? No security there...... And no one came to see I was alright or bother to assist in anyway what so ever! I got freaked re cabin got very small as I was now stressed and had a small panic attack. I was ok as the cabin with a very kind older lady relaxed me when they got the door open. Not the crew, a fellow client of the sabra sun hotel. So think twice and I was informed by this lady their door to was jammed so they then on had to leave a towel by the door not to be locked in. Also photos of cabin are in no way justified to sml size and not very clean surroundings.

Giovanni, the crew captain was a warm welcome and gentle approach. We were guided to a (twin room) as its my mum and I on a family break. Mum asked to be moved as I had requested on booking a quite space and we were placed right by the stair entrance. It was creeping stairs and a bizy enterance so that wasn't working! Also it smelt damp? He was very helpful moved us to a cabin at the end of the boat. Breakfast is nice and if you make sure you do get the boat pass. We bought a 2 day unlimited card for the over taxi(can't remember it's name) cheap one ;) As our island is sweet to stay on and there's nice places to go even within the island itself.

The most stuff was unfriendly and the english language was bad! The facilities was very poor we got a corner cabine, this was very smaller as the others. Water drops from the wall and roof in our beds - the doorknop was broken - the space was a nighmare - the clienliness also! From our cabine was another way to a other cabine what can not locked. To much many 110 Euro per night was very to much for our facielitis !!!!!! It was not the space - we are know the little space in a kabine but all in all !!!!!!

the location was very nice and exactly what we want. The water bus stop was a little step from the boat !

Checking in was difficult we arrived to be told the instructions on booking.com to pick keys up were incorrect. We asked for directions to the boat and were told it would be the only one docked and noticeable. There are two yachts connected which makes up the hotel. We then went on board to ensure this was the right boat to be told we had to wait for someone to return to give us further info, again not confirming if this was the correct place.

The blonde haired girl who checked us in was very friendly and the boats themselves were nice.

I would recommend this if you already know Venice quite well as we did. It's away from the more crowded areas which encourages you to explore some of the more hidden treasures especially Giudecca island itself. Yet it's accessible to everything you want to see or do via vaporetto. Being rocked to sleep by the waves is very pleasant. The cabins are tiny and the bunk beds fairly narrow as you'd expect - but comfy enough and having your own private mini wet room is a big bonus - as indeed is being able to enjoy a nicely varied breakfast on deck with a view along the whole length of the Giudecca Canal. Staff friendly and helpful with good advice about local restaurants and amenities.

    - Check in is 16:00, but in our case it was after 18:00 because the room wasn't "ready". - When you visit Venice the location of the hotel is quite important, because there are places you can go on foot or there are places you can access only by boat. This hotel is the one I get there really ONLY by vaporetto. If u are planing to buy everyday a travel card, which cost around 20 euros, is OK. Otherwise, it's better to get a hotel close to P. Roma.

When we were in Venice there was a heat wave and it was 43 degrees and humid so I think this affected our stay at Sarah Sun Island. The boat was not well air conditioned so being in the cabin felt a bit stuffy and it was really hard to sleep. The location of the boat is good but you have to take a water bus to even get a bottle of water because everything seems to be on the other side of the canal.

The staff were fanstastic, the captain is very helpful and will tell all about where to go and what to eat! The boat has a very relaxed feel to it, we stayed up on the deck until late into the evening and watched the sunset and the boats going by. Breakfast was fantastic and served on the upper deck! The rooms are small, as you would expect on a boat, but they are fine if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room.

Arrived safely I'm Venice. Found my boat hotel... but ... not too great. Boat is X2 boats. For what it offers way too expensive for €100 A bit of a dump actually. The room is deep into hull of boat which rocks as ats on outer canal pass. With That in mind I felt sea sick. I wouldn't recommend this to your guests- it's shabby and not to the standard I would expect. Not sure if I can sleep on board - the cabin is rough and very basic. Run by Russians who I could smell the booze when I boarded- I do not feel safe either. A bit of a problem. .. but plan to leave the boat super early tomorrow - like 7 am. Dreading the night . Anyway thought I'd be honest with feedback - I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone ..looks nothing like the picture on the booking form.

Any faults we could make were probably due to the rainy weather which has a tendency to create an untidy look. The water level made the on off gang plank a little unsteady. I think that during a recent re-paint, the rain started which left a few stains here and there but that shouldn`t spoil your adventure.

As you would expect when staying on any boat with the exception of a cruise ship, there is less space for your luggage and excess baggage. Likewise, your cabin only consists of the basics which is adequate. If it`s a 5 star luxury hotel you want, go to the Stucky Hilton or The Cipriani, both within a short walk away. The shower w/c room is small but manageable. The staff were all very obliging. The breakfast was very nicely laid out with enough for everyone. The Wi-Fi was exceptionally good. A big thank you to Giovanni for inviting us on a mini cruise and making us feel so very welcome.
