Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandAC doesn't work, so during hot season it is difficult to spent time inside
Cozy place in a quiet area of Mestre. Bus and tram station just at the front of the building, and you reach Venice directly in 30 minutes. The apartment has everything for a short stay, clean and comfortable, but nothing fancy. Great value for a price

FranceThere’s everything you need, including an umbrella, a drying rack, dishes and utensils. The bed is very comfortable, soft. The place is quiet which is difficult to find around Venice. The host was very friendly in the messages but we never saw her because there was self-check-in (which is also more convenient).

AustraliaThe bed was saggy in the middle which meant we rolled into each other all night. The shower is over the bath which is recessed so if you’re taller than 5’8” you have to sit/kneel to use the hand shower or have a bath rather than stand. My husband just fitted standing whilst I fitted fine. Not a big issue unless you really hate sitting to wash.
Lovely clean local apartment near various food/bar options and amenities like pharmacy and supermarket. The locals are pleasant and the cost of living ie eating out, buying groceries, is on the cheaper end making it easier on the holiday budget. Quiet secure building with apartment on first floor accessible only by stairs. Air conditioner works well and there is a full size fridge. Shutters on the windows make it black inside for those who need that to sleep like us. Location is right on the public transport line which is perfect for very regular buses and trams to all major areas and because the building is not on the road you cannot hear all that traffic.

GermanyIt is a bit removed from the city, and after a long day walking, one can feel the return home quite long, specially if it becomes late and it is hot. The mattress wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, we are not heavy people but still we were both sinking to the center. Knowing this, I would still recommend this wonderful apparent,.
The apartment offered absolutely everything you need for a short and comfortable stay, for everything else, there are commerces right around the corner. Although it is not super close to the city center or the island itself, if you don't mind the bis or tram ride, it is quite accessible and more than comfortable for the price.

SlovakiaVery nice and cosy accomodation with great access to the historical centre of Venice. The tram and bus station is right outside the house with trams leaving directly to Venice every few minutes 🤩. The supermarket is just a five minutes walk from the house. The accommodation was clean, spacious, with air conditioning and a kitchen with everything you might need during your trip 🤩. Also miss Sara was always happy to help when needed.

IrelandThis is not really related to the property itself. The only complication is that there is no direct connection to the airport. You have to go via on of the stops in the centre of Mestre and with luggage it takes extra effort. But this is not a big deal and we would stay in the property again.
We liked the apartment. It was spacious and had everything that we needed. It also located in the nice area of Mestre that is residential and quiet and yet with direct access to center of Mestre and to Venice. Sara is very friendly hosts, responding very promptly to all our messages.

IndiaNo fan or AC in the bedroom. We had to move the mattress to the hall to get a decent sleep The plumbing could have been better in the bathroom. The shower was set up in the bathtub which is bit uncomfortable.
Location.

GermanyIt smelled of smoke, so all our clothes smelled of smoke after the stay. Dishwasher was broken and kitchen had no lights. Bathroom shower had a low ceiling - not made for tall people!
Location was great. Property was spacious. Sofa very comfortable.

GermanyYou can tell the apartment is very old, the smell of humidity was there since we entered the place. The mattress replacement is waaaaay overdue, it smells like humidity and is completely soft (in the bad sense), if you want a good night sleep this is NOT the mattress you want. Internet connection is running via LTE so very slow (max 3-5 MBits), almost to the point of not being useful; specially if two people are working remotely with it. The shower is very hard to use for tall people!! For some reason it has a very low ceiling so it is impossible to take a shower standing 🤷♂️.
The apartment is big enough for two people, we normally work while traveling so having enough space is a must. It does have mostly everything needed to have a good stay. Location is far away from Venice itself but public transport is just outside and the ride is about 30 minutes to Venice station (although is supposed to be a 15 min ride according to Google 🫠).
