Ok so the indoor pool was empty (of water), but we didn't come for that.

The staff! Amazing. When a cab didn't show a member of staff drove us himself. The restaurant, seriously we ate in a Michelin star in Naples and this restaurant here in Paestum could go for it too. Great for a couple of nights to visit the Ancient Temples and a mozzarella farm. But I imagine a high quality relaxing holiday in summer here would be lovely too. There were no weddings when we were there, but clearly this is that sort of hotel (and town) - so you get the benefit of great quality and feeling of opulence and if you're lucky, the place rather quiet!

While a very large property, the pool was small and the beach club is too far from the hotel. It is walking distance but is very disconnected. The room had no balcony or view and overall I thought this hotel was expensive compared to others in the area.

    Clean room and good breakfast.

We received one card to the room only... and were told that another will be available next day. Quite a poor option for one day stay. Wifi in the room didnt work properly so we were told that it works better in the hall... wrrrr.

I enjoyed location. 20min walk from ancient Paestum. Great place for runners as well. I lost my way twice while running through wineyards that are around this hotel. Breakfast was good. Even my vegan wife enjoyed it.

I would have given a very high score to this hotel if a very big ( some 2 meters long) heavy mirror of the suite bathroom had not fallen at 4:00 in the morning with an enormous noise, waking us up as if a bomb had exploded near our bed. A kind staff night person, who having heard such a terrible noise had thought that something had exploded or so in the hotel kitchen, came up trying to clean the glasses on the bathroom floor so to allow access to the bathroom. Of course we could not sleep the rest of the night! But what was really frustrating was that the day staff people didn't even come to our suite to see the damage... maybe (?) this is not the first time this had happened, even so .. Pity such a nice property has such ... a badly trained staff. Not to forget: I got 30 euro discount, the difference in value between the room I had reserved - that was too small for us - and the suite to which I had requested an upgrade.

The Savoy Beach Hotel is a very nice property with beautiful gardens and a good nearby beach service. Parking is easy, on location, and the Paestum temples are very near.

The air conditioning system was not turned on so the room was very hot and could not be cooled down, by me or the staff. The monitoring system at the front desk said that the room was 23C, but the thermostat in the room said it was 27.3C. It was hot both day and night.

Absolutely stunning. The Junior Suite was modern and clean. The meals were delicious. It's within a walking distance to the beach. We were able to reach by car the Archaeological site of Paestum and the closest (and beautiful) town of Agropoli and Castellabate. I hope that we'll come back soon.

Swimming pool was closed, but when you want to use it you have to pay extra. Should be included. Restaurant was also closed. The owner likes strong perfumes, so the entire hotel is filled with scented candles, perfume sticks and other smells. This is a little overwhelming for the senses.

We did not see any local transportation to ruins--which are incredible. Cabs were 10 euros each way. It's too far to walk from hotel to the ruins or the train.Allow time to see the museum. Lots of places to eat at ruins.

Gourmet food, we ate at restaurant and were given appetizers and pistachio gelato as free perks, with incredible service. Fabulous breakfast choices with eggs, meats, cheeses, tiramisu, fresh fruit, pastries, fresh squeezed obj, local olives, tomatoes and jams. Great English speaking staff with help ordering cabs and a shuttle from train (15 Euros), free shuttle to private all sand beach with free towels, sun beds and umbrellas. Gorgeous grounds for weddings, lots of gardens. Large hemispherical pool with step down seating from all sides and a deep area for swimming in the center. Pool bar, and grassy area with a sheltered side for sunbathers. Very relaxing. This is a new huge Vegas style property, large ,spacious lobby area with chandelier for glamorous entry. Brides were fun to watch, there were more than ample facilities for the rest of us. We eventually found cheaper places to eat by the beach.

No atmosphere and quite impersonal, staff at reception is passive. A few waiters in the restaurant >>Tre Olivi<< seems to be unmotivated. Key system (card) for the room was not working perfectly. Note: every week one or two weddings during summer season - very annoying. NO private beach! (at the weekend it was nearly impossible to get a sun lounger + umbrella). The beach was not so clean; every day you have to join another place (sun lunger + umbrella). There is no bigger city nearby the hotel to go for a drink in the evening or i.e. for shopping.

The food in the restaurant >>Tre Olivi<< is absolutely excellent. Service staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. The hotel is very tidy, rooms are spacious and clean.
