This place was beautiful! Fireplace in shared room was cozy. The candles added a luxurious nod to the simple yet elegant atmosphere. Very quiet and peaceful. The hotel provided special surprises for our four-legged family member. The proximity to a hiking trail was an unexpected bonus! We even flew a kite from the breezy hillside.

There is a very interesting story about this Albergo Diffuso. The village is amazing and the room is very nicely rennovated and very confortable. The staffs were very kind and helpful in carrying baggages, booking restaurants and telling us the story. Breakfast and lounge were also very nice abd confortable, as well as the restaurant.

It was just stunning. I was lucky to find this hotel. Room, Restaurant and People in the reception and restaurant were just perfect. I had a rest there. Hopely come again and stay longer there.

What a unique hotel high up in the mountains in a 16th century abandoned village. The floors and ceilings are original with comfortable beds made of wool. Modern bathrooms though. Lovely soap and oil in the bathroom. Staff were fantastic. The restaurant was rustic. We also enjoyed the extra activity of truffle hunting. The separate bar was also excellent

Lack of options for cocktails was the only negative, but other options more than satisfied us.

Learning about the history of the project, the location, breakfast was outstanding, bed was super comfortable. We loved the linens, soaps and artifacts. The candles were amazing, providing a sweet glow even during the night, to allow you to see your way around the room without using the lights....they provided a warm glow that did not disturb your sleep.

The town is undergoing remodelaciones and construction to become a more complete attraction for visitors. At the moment there is a lot of scaffolding and few activities.

A marvelous experience. Staying at this hotel is a trip in of itself. The restaurant for dinner is a must do not miss it.

It is a unique property comprised of various buildings in this historic, medieval, I believe, hill settlement. The spaces are unique and I appreciate that the hotel is breathing life into a place which may have fell into disuse previously. The staff is very professional and friendly as well.

An incredible charming historical hotel in the most charming medieval borghetto. It really feels as if we were back in time. The medieval decoration of the hotel really sets up an incredible ambiance of those times. The cantina is a must see and experience an aperitivo. The staff is very friendly and always with a genuine smile. We had an amazing, relaxed time.

Even just one night in this enchanted village allows you to understand the soul and history of Abruzzo and the Abruzzesi. It's not just a stay: it's an experience! Wonderful! Get ready to leave the usual rhythms behind and enter the ancient time of transhumance and the cadences marked by nature. Both the attention to detail and the study and love that evidently underlie this project are greatly appreciated. You will not find a television, but the essential comforts (heating, bathroom, some rooms with a very romantic bathtub for two), incredibly comfortable beds, despite the old-fashioned wooden shelf, candles and fireplaces. Excellent food at the Locanda sotto gli Archi and aperitifs or lighter meals at the Cantinone, where it is also possible to read or socialise. Meals, wines, herbal teas, oil, all designed to preserve the past and revive faces and traditions. Stop here, travellers! You will not regret it!

Our group had an executive suite (a 2 bedrooms suite with shared a bathroom and dining room). Bathroom had no door.

Unique and beautifully restored accommodation in an wonderful medieval fortified town in a hilltop setting. Breakfast was by far the best we've had during our trip. Very good Wifi connectivity which was a pleasant surprise, The reception staff was exceptional as well.

Amazing! No words can justify Sextantio Albergo Diffuso, it just has to be experienced. The hotel is spread across the medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio. Our suite was restored perfectly to reflect the original time period but with all modern facilities. Also the faabrics used and the soap were made with old techniques. And it was all wonderful. Reception, bar and restaurant were also located in different buildings. The food in the restaurant was mostly local and excellent and the staff was very professional and nice. In addition to the hotel, Santo Stefano di Sessanio and its surrondings are really worth a visit.

We loved everything about our stay..

The rustic luxury is unique and visually enticing. Although rustic it was very comfortable. The village was buzzing but not too crowded. La Locanda restaurant was a gem excellent breakfasts and wonderful dinners. We ate there every night! The candles in each room and common spaces created a romantic atmosphere. The quality of the soaps and body wash was greatly appreciated. But the highlight of our stay was the exceptional service from the front desk with Carlo (and Stefania my name sake) to Ricardo and others in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Responses were immediate and with good cheer. Outstanding!
