This is a family run hotel and we have always liked staying here. Staff are always helpful and polite and make you feel very welcome. Breakfast is good and does have a fair choice. For Rapallo, is one of the best for price.

The hotel is located on the Main Street of Rapallo to Portofino so it's a bit noisy. Don't get deceived by the outside looks, the next door places look run down and the hotel could use a face lift.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, they gave us a great Tipps and ideas to explore the area. We bought boat tickets to Portofino at the reception. The hotel is very clean, the parking is extra but in a locked garage, it's recommended to book parking ahead of arrival. The interior decoration is simple and functional, a bit outdated but very well maintained. Our room had two rooms devised by a sliding door with bunk beds for the kids, a master bedroom and a bathroom. The hotel is a great budget option to the pricy hotels in Portofino and Santa Margarita, both locations can be easily reached from Rapallo.

The decor in the bathroom was a bit dated but all functioning and felt clean. This is not really something about the Hotel but the main beach in Rapallo (summer 2017) is not open for swimming in the water (three measurements below threshold). Hence the beach is nice but you cannot swim.

Good location to the main beach, but off the actual lungomare area (not as noisy). Breakfast better than other places I have stayed in the same region (but not great in terms of healthy eating). Friendly staff.

There is limited parking but can find on street parking nearby and the hotel does do everything they can to help out.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very friendly, helpful and polite. The parking could be difficult as it is limited but the staff went out of their way to find us space and moved the car around when we were out so this was never a problem. It could be more of a problem in season (we were there beginning of June). Lucretia on reception was wonderful - she helped us with some issues we had with the Italian motorways (how and where to pay toll fees), gave us excellent advice on up lice transport and where to visit. Breakfast was simple but adequate and the waitresses were smiling and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean, modern large bathroom and large double bed that was extremely comfy. We were overlooking the front of the hotel which is on the main road and busy but with double glazing and air conditioning this was nit a problem at night. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach, 3 minute walk to bus stop to take you to near by San margarita and portfolio and is excellently situated in rapallo which is in itself ideally situated to explore the coast. Would definitely recommend this hotel because of staff, accommodation and location.

Basic store cupboard breakfast was fine and included in the room rate, but I wouldn't opt for it if paying separately.

Professionally run family hotel. Dated decor but everything was well cared for, worked and was very clean. Shower over the bath was a good one, bed large & very comfortable, and room warm on a wet cold night! The lady on reception didn't speak English but knew how to handle a tired, stressed soggy traveller arriving with no language skills and a car late at night. Very calming manner, and came to the roadside with a brolley for my wife, while someone else showed me to a large, safe and convenient garage in the street to the side. I hoped Rapallo would be pretty in its own right - and it was; that it would be convenient for a quick spin round the coast to Portofino before continuing our journey - and it was that too. Far more to do here and more reasonably priced than Portofino.

The only complaint I can think of is that the terrace is, unfortunately, a kind of smoking lounge. There are a lot of smokers that congregate there and it makes it pretty unpleasant for non-smokers.

We found the staff simply terrific. Not only helpful, but willing to go the extra like serving breakfast a little early and making some hot tea after a long day.

Excellent family run hotel, very friendly staff, very clean, good facilities, nice breakfast. Roof terrace is a bonus for relaxing. 5 minutes walk from station and 2 minutes onto promenade. Rapallo is a vey nice town and a good centre for exploring the Portofino peninsula, lots of well marked walking, plenty of buses to get around, also cable car to Montallegro with nice walk back down to Rapallo.

Had problems with internet connection. Had to keep asking for passwords. They kept telling me was my phone but I had no problem connecting to other wifi in other places. Great inconvenience. Eventually it worked. The room could have done with a refridgerator especially being summer.
