Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Slovakiathere are two things that I would recommend to consider: first the quality of the coffee in this hotel is very mean, being in Italy. The esspresso as well as capucinno were simply bellow expectations. I would think about changing the supplier/brand. the second is the opening hours of the restaurant Mo veng - the quality of the food is very high, but is is opened only from 8:00 p.m. This is not a time for us from the northern parts of Europe. You can find several very good restaraunts in Sant Angelo after 15 mins walk, openned from 7:00 p.m. and that is much better for digestion.
Perfect location with stunning sea view. Proximity of the beach is very good and rare at Ischia. Service on the beach was very good.,

United StatesThere is no elevator so getting bags to the upper floors can be a little challenging. Know in advance that there are just two way to reach the hotel. (1) by water taxi from either direction although the taxi ride is cheaper if you come from the east vs Sant Angelo. Managing bags any larger than a carry on is a bit challenging in the water taxi and not recommended. (2) by electric golf cart from Sant Angelo. Taxi to the gate of the town and right there is a place to get a golf cart for continuing transport
This is an amazing gem of a hotel. Very relaxed environment with plenty of families with young children as well as older couples. The view of the bay from the hotel is amazing and the walk into SantAngelo, while a bit arduous, was well worth it due to it being car free town and full of nice restaurants. The pool is perfect as well and we enjoyed the sun deck. The beach is as a short walk down the hill.

SwitzerlandI would have loved a softer pillow and darker curtains to block out the strong morning sun.
Amazing views, nicely maintained and spread out facilities including pool with fantastic view. Generous breakfast options. Family-run vibe. Good exercise to walk up the hotel - though you need to be fit to make it!

AustraliaLoved the thermal pools, but some days reached +30oC, so it would have been nice to have one ‘cold’ pool to cool down in.
Great place to relax. The rooms were spacious and the aircon worked great. Loved the balcony, beautiful view.

United KingdomThe grotto area could be slightly improved. The saunas are a little bit too rough! The bathrobes provided are a little worn and threadbare. I would have liked thinner, cotton robes, especially for the warm weather. But this is a minor thing.
Stunning hilltop location with simple luxury. The food was delicious, the rooms spacious, and the onsite natural thermal pools and saunas were a complete bonus. Beautiful gardens growing produce, like limes, lemons, tomatoes, and so quiet and peaceful (until the weekend when the yachts arrive in the harbour). My advice is to stay for the week, and leave on Saturday, when the crowds descend. The spa areas are pretty rustic, rather than luxurious. The natural saunas are basically caves, with rickety boards on the floor and to sit on, so it's really like sitting in a grotto. However, everything is very natural and you know you're dealing with a genuine one-off destination. No bland chain-style decor with predictable aesthetic. This place is totally authentic and special. I almost hesitate to post this review because I want this hotel to remain a secret.

United KingdomWe liked everything
We loved the settings of the hotel perched up on the hill . We love walking , so walking down to the village St Angelo was no problem at all. We spent alot of time in the very hot salty thermal spa and then went down to the sea to swim ! The sea is cold in May but really refreshing. We loved the breakfast in the morning and it set us up for the day. We went half board in the end which was a good idea as we felt going into the village was too far every evening - especially as on one day we walked 11km return to the highest point on the island !

AustraliaLots of hills to climb! However it meant that I have not put on weight with all the great Italian food!
Location of the property is stunning! Beautiful views all around. Heated thermal pool was lovely and great that there was a good beach 5 minutes walk away. Room was very comfortable and clean and staff were very helpful. Beautiful well kept tropical garden surrounds.

United KingdomWasn’t clear about transportation cost and half board deals. I expected to seat seam as breakfast area but it was indoor seating. Missed out the view. Owner should tell us when he promotes the half board. Very expensive pasta in whole town. Better go fancy restaurants, at list you pay for that.
Lovely view and nice free spa.

DenmarkHowever, we missed the eggs being cooked in several batches so they didn't get cold and boring. The finished coffee on the thermos was almost undrinkable - why? As the hotel had guests on full board, it was a bit strange that we were not offered that dinner. We had been super interested in eating at the hotel, but instead went elsewhere for our evening meal.
really nice location with easy access to the beach and only a relatively short walk to S' Angelo. The thermal facilities were older, but nevertheless met our expectations. It was good for the body after a long day in the sun to dive into the naturally heated water and enjoy the benefits of the mineral-rich water. The breakfast buffet was really well-stocked and could satisfy most people.

New ZealandThe WiFi is very, very bad.
The hotel is in the most beautiful locations on Ischia. Up on the hill but not too far from the beach and on the iconic walk to St Angelo. Could not recommend this place more, the views are AMAZING. I was blown away everyday :) Giorgio and his mum really looked after us, I have multiple allergies (incl. gluten) and they catered for me daily with delicious bread and cakes. We loved the restaurant and recommend getting the half board. Delicious home cooked food for dinner which included an antipasti, primi pati, main and a dessert for 20 eur. The breakfast is also very good. We will come back again when we are on this side of the world. I’ll never forget the 3 days we had on the island and at Fernandino beach and spa!

United StatesI booked a room with a sea view but it was partial at best. We also didn’t realize that you can’t drive to the hotel from the main road so had to park it and then take a buggy cab.
Lovely location, with fantastic views on the water. Set back slightly up the hill with gardens around it. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Close to a few lovely beaches.
