All nice but dont understand why there isnt free water or a kettle in the bedrooms. Also why dont they give free swimming hats or tell people to bring them if they are required

It is review for HOTEL HELVETIA because hotel roma was under construction so they , with our confirmation , offer us Hotel Helvetia. It was nice to spend day in thermal pool with nice garden with shade.

We stayed at the hotel 7 nights and grew a bit tired of the more or less same breakfast items each time. There were so many sweets (cakes, cookies, pudding, etc.) but not such a good variety of breads, especially for a hotel that has lots of German visitors. How about adding some heavy, crusty, grainy German-style bread for breakfast to supplement the sweets and the soft, white breads and cornettos? More variety at breakfast would have been good, in my humble opinion.

The location, the thermal waters spa, the good bedding, the nice reception staff and the several dinners we had there.

the staff was very helpful, the location was perfect for walking to just about anywhere you wanted to go to. the pools were very nice. room was large for Italian standards.

There was not enough salt food for breakfast. One kind of cheese and one kind of bacon only. The swimming pool is small and has only one jacuzzi which was always occupied. The panoramic swimming pool was too cold. The gym doesn't have dumbbells at all and just one gym machine.

Ricotta on breakfast was tasty. A lot of sweet pies too.

Pool and spa Access only with hat and rubber slippers. Room all Over smell cigarettes. Really uncomfortable beds and pillows. Me and my teenage kid said as well.

The room size was not as advertised , it should be 24 square meters, but they gave us a very small room it was around 16 square meters, I talked to the resorption about this , they told me that there is nothing they can do. I felt disappointed as I was expecting a nice spacious room to relax.

Even though hotel has nice exterior and reception area, room wasn't so nice. Very worn out furniture, scratches everywhere. Bed and pillows so hard that couldn't sleep all night. Nowhere info about mandatory swimming cap until you get there. Pool area ok, roof top pool too hot during day. Breakfast could have more vegetables. Staff try to look friendly. Not worth the money.

This hotel is in a deplorable state. Very dirty. no house slippers although there is a very dirty carpet in the room. No bathrobes, no safety (lift inspection is expired). Good breakfast for a 2-star hotel. Very poor and also very dirty We had to take the minibar fridge out of order because it made a loud noise and we couldn't sleep. Indoor pool with a lot of limestone and chlorine. plus a ridiculous degree of old dirt. I communicated all this to the Reception and they told me that it is according to the Italian standard and that the dirt does not classify the hotel from a legal point of view. The sounds from the drain walls and the vacuum cleaner in the morning were the reasons that led me to forward this complaint to you. I come with the question to you if booking.com is international or is it according to the country as a classification!?? it is not normal for me to accept such a hotel in the portfolio and for it to be rated 4 stars. The receptionist Isabella spoke to me in a way totally inappropriate for a 4 star hotel. He told me that they got the 4-star standard because they speak 4 foreign languages. And that in Italy the classification is not like in Europe. As if it doesn't suit me, that's it. What's more, he didn't even greet us when we left! I think I was totally cheated by this miserable hotel!
