How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified review*Title:* Average Stay - Cleanliness Could Be Improved *Rating:* 2/5 I recently stayed in this room, and while it was decent, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The room was average in terms of size and amenities, but the cleanliness was a bit lacking. *Highlights:* - *Location:* The room's location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions. - *Amenities:* The room had the essentials, including a TV and Wi-Fi. *Lowlights:* - *Cleanliness:* The room wasn't as clean as I expected, with some dust and dirt in the corners. - *Used Blanket:* I was given a used blanket without being asked if I wanted a new one, which was a bit disappointing. *Overall:* The room was average, and while it wasn't terrible, it didn't exceed my expectations either. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and guest preferences, this room could be a great option for travelers. *Would I stay again: No
Cleanliness and should give clean blankets

Verified reviewCity centre location - a few minutes walk from Termini metro station and the busses at the square beside it. Lots of souvenir shops and restaurants in the nearby streets. A supermarket within 5 mins walk, just check google maps and you'll find them. Its on the 4th floor of an old building, there is a small lift which grumbles and groans but it was great with the buggy and shopping. There is a hostel on the 1st floor but you wouldn't even notice this as its quiet. We had 3 small children with us, the room had a double bed and 3 single beds. We had towels and bed linen changed whenever we wanted it, we didn't request this every day. They provided toilet roll whenever needed. There is a cabinet in the reception area and the drawers are full of bits for your room if you need them, cups, toilet roll, glasses, plastic cutlery, hair dryers etc. We brought our own plastic plates and cutlery as we knew we would be getting some take away meals from Just Eat (they delivered to the door down on the street) They also provided soap, shower gel sachets and coffee/tea. There was a coffee machine and we bought the pods from the supermarket inside the Termini station. Cups provided, and glasses. When we arrived the hosts left water bottles, cans of coke and croissants which was a nice surprise. Large window with wooden shutters, they were locked partially open which we appreciated as it was much safer for our kids. The window only opened partially which was all that was needed. Air conditioning was fantastic and a godsend as the heat was intense outside. The bathroom was clean and the shower was a large double size. The television worked fine also, and youtube works on it for cartoons in English which we discovered the day before we left! Storage space is good, we had a unit like the IKEA kallax. We also had a unit for coats/shoes which was great.
Very few negatives - The bathroom was narrow and long, fine for me and the kids but a bit difficult for my taller husband. Shower water temperature could fluctuate depending on the time of day you used it. The electricity went off one day in the building and the bathroom flooded with waste water as the room we were in had a pump so when the power went to it, it went back up into our room. Thankfully it was just sink water from when I had rinsed a few t shirts, the bathroom was raised from the level of the main room, so we kept it at bay with towels. The staff cleaned it up and gave us another bathroom in another room to use until the power came back. The television was tricky to use, maybe include instructions in a few languages to help guests. Staff are very quiet, men of few words, reserved, polite and give you your space so that's nice when you are exhausted after a day's sightseeing and you just want to retreat to your room. Very quiet street location, but so close to Termini, its a perfect location.

Verified reviewRome is generally expensive, and considering how close to the station this apartment is (7 minute walk) I thought the value was fair. The host was helpful and responsive and even gave us complimentary drinks/snacks.
it is just 1 room with all 3 beds, which felt a bit tight.

Verified reviewCourteous staff, 3 minutes to Termi, clean and comfortable in the room. Vodka, circles and croissants for free. For this money, perhaps the best option in the area.
The area itself is dirty and not very safe at night, but the hotel is not to blame)

It's NOT what they advertise . No breakfast even after asking staff . No tea bag ( they don't do that ) They put coffee machine in the room ,water, and coke cola. Why not tea bags ? , It's not a luxury home at all, just some weird arrangement in an apartment

Verified reviewTravelling as a family of 5 (3 older sons), this room was brilliant for its location. We took the train and bus from Ciampino Airport straight to Roma Termini and it was literally a 5 minute to the room. It's lovely to stroll around the area, so much to see, it's about 30 minutes walk to all the essential visits like Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum and Pantheon. We got the Metro into Vatican City, this runs from Termini Station and I think cost a euro each for the journey which is brilliant when sticking to a budget. The room itself was clean, has good Aircon, looks recently decorated, welcome soft drinks on arrival. Staff were great, so friendly and helpful. If you're looking at going to Rome on a budget but still want some decent digs, this place ticks all the boxes
Walking later at night from the train station could seem a little daunting. Not a dislike however it was on the fourth floor which could be a bit difficult for some. There is a lift however we didn't use it
